Evening!
Sue, so sorry to hear about DH, and really hoping you can get him home and he will improve. Take care of you too if you can. I don't go to group, just log everything I eat on here, and find that checking in keeps me in check and on track. It's worked for me every time I've done SW (lapsed a few times!)
Yesterday morning OH said he really fancied an all day breakfast and wanted to go out for one. Fortunately it was gone 10.30am and nothing locally served after that, apart from Wetherspoons. I checked their website and the breakfast (large) on there was 1475 cals!!! I did us a SW version at home, all free, and it was a sight cheaper too. Win, win. I think it would have stressed me out too much to have attempted eating out without control.
So yesterday's meal plan was:
Brunch - eggs, bacon, LM veggie sausage 1.5, beans, mushrooms, ketchup (1), toast (6)
Dinner - porridge with water, milk from HEA, sugar (1) apples (1.5)
rest of HEA in tea/coffee
Today's plan:
B - nectarine, banana
L - mixed salad with pickled onions, cucumber, carrot, ham, dressing (1) 3 x ryvita HEB;
0% greek yogurt with apples, mango & strawberries
D - Garlic roast chicken with SW roast potatoes, carrots, peas, peppers, sweetcorn, savoy cabbage, gravy (2)
Back to work tomorrow..... the weekends just go so quickly, don't they? OH and I have spent a lot of the weekend trying to sort out our finances, thinking about remortgaging, looking at pros and cons (obviously looking at lots of MSE posts) etc. OH is very good with £, so final decision either way is with him, but we want to ensure that either of us can cope with our bills if one of us were unwell long-term, or lost our job unexpectedly. Adulting sucks! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
I've got myself a list of foods that I enjoy eating that have syn values and I'm going to write it all down in the back of my food notebook so that I can stay more in control.
It seems no matter how many times you do sw there's always something to learn about yourself and food.
Today's food (I think...I'm not sure I want to eat any of it!)
B: overnight oats (HEB)
L: onion & chive cottage cheese, with extra cheese (HEA) and salad
T: Magic rice (ham, a load of veg & rice) and salad
Milk (HEA) for hot drinks and fruit for snacka.
Weigh in tonight. It's going to be bad but no point hiding from it.0 -
Weighed in at last
+ 3lb for last week ending 7th April please Chris.
I've GOT to get my act together......
Morning all.
Going to have a read back.curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -
Sue hope DH comes home and improves soon. Things sound awful at the moment for you. Look after yourself as well. You need to be well for both yourself and your DH.
FrankieM WI may not be as bad as you expect, it often isn't! Good luck.
curl girl - you might find it helpful to post your menu plans on here regularly. I think most of us find it helps us to stick to plan a bit better than if we don't! Good luck.
Have to rejig my menu plan a bit for this week so will be back later with my plan for today once I've sorted it out!

Thank you all ,he was a little better yesterday managed to stand with a frame.
Just had porridge and berries for breakfast ,not sure about lunch ,but when I come back after visiting (35mile round trip) I will have the last two chicken thighs I cooked a couple of days ago with either mash or pasta and salad or veg .
Agree Mamam that I will feel better if I stay healthy eating .0 -
That sounds a positive Suffolksue. Hopefully he will improve a little day by day.
Today's plan (after the rejig):
B - stuffed mushroom - stuffed with couscous, tomato, pepper, spring onion, mushroom & topped with cottage cheese
L - ham salad sandwich - 1.5 Syns for low fat olive spread
D - HM SW faggots; mash & veg - probably cabbage, green beans & peas (that'll be the last of the YS green beans!) 1 syn; followed by the last of the lemon meringue pies I made yesterday - 8 syns
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - faggots 1; low fat spread 1.5; 3 Tbs lemon curd 7.5; 1 Tbs sweetener in the meringue 0.5 - total 10
Have apples, strawberries & grapes for snacks if needed
