Hello everybody! Lost just half a pound this week. Bit disappointed as I have drunk gallons of fluid and stuck to plan. But hey ho, at least its a loss.0

I agree. The thing about rice is that once it's cooked it needs to be chilled fairly quickly and then frozen. After that there's no problem reheating. I batch cook pilau rice, cool it in the fridge then freeze in portions.
Shame you've not managed to train your DH bubbs so hope you find a solution to what to eat. I was lucky in that my MIL did the job for me!:D DH is from a large family and the 4 eldest are boys and she didn't differentiate between who did what around the house. So when his mum was unwell he was cooking for the family at age 14! He still makes breakfast every day and gets his own lunch. Although if I'm out in the evening he enjoys a synful ready meal like macaroni cheese. And when he's out I have egg and chips!:D
I was good last night and although we lost at football we played well so no drowning sorrows needed. So an alcohol free Friday! Portioned up Bolognese for the freezer so that's OK for a few weeks.
I did my shopping in Lidl today because I had a voucher and because DH's favourite muesli was half price. I needed quite a big shop as we'd run out of almost everything fresh and while I was there I stocked up on cornichons and their own brand lazy garlic.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, baked beans, fried eggs, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with veggie chilli, beetroot, cottage cheesechicken 'kiev' (stuffed with cottage cheese & garlic and wrapped in bacon), SW chips, purple sprouting broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes
Syns: weekend wine!:j0 -
I love SW chicken 'kiev'! Haven't done it for ages as haven't bought any chicken breasts recently but planning on getting some in Iceland end of next week when I can use my 10% off voucher when you spend £25 - the large box of chicken breasts is £20 so shouldn't be too difficult to spend that amount - didn't use the one I got for this week as is was a £40 spend! I'd struggle to spend that much in Iceland!
I never seem to get vouchers for Lidl! Wish I did as I much prefer it to Aldi.
Definitely still on the G&T diet at the moment after those synful bagels! Still got another half dozen in the freezer- must have been a bag of 10 thought it was only 6! Will need to spread them over a longer period. Perhaps only have them once I'm near to bottom end, LOL!

Can't manage to spend £40 in Iceland to be quite honest. I'm happy enough with my 10% off £25 'cos I can manage that as long as I go to the Food Warehouse and not the local Iceland. Will stock up on some kitchen rolls & loo rolls while I'm there which will help bump it up a few £££s.
Have got loads of veg in my outside freezer but may pick up a few bags of peas & green beans as they are the ones I use the most.

Oops got that a bit wrong - should have read £10 not £20! Only noticed it when Bubbs posted!

That's what I used today and there's another in tomorrow. We have the paper anyway so no extra expense.
Meant to follow up on the corned beef. It's the £ shop that has the Ye Olde Oak tins. I bought more today as we enjoyed the hash. Then I went to Sainsburys (told you I needed a big shop today) and they had the Princes low fat corned beef on offer at £2 (same size 200g) instead of £2.50 . I compared the calories and fat between them and the full fat normal tinned corned beef . The cheap one is in between the two. So, 'you pays your money and takes your choice' . Being at target I'm happy with half the price and a few extra syns (but still less than full fat). Hope that makes sense.
Hope you enjoyed picky tea bubbs .0 -
