Thinking of you sue don't really know what else to say xxx

I've had a terrible eating (and drinking) time since Friday evening. I'm not sure what kicks it off but it seem every 2-3 weeks this happens.

I'm back on it today but I doubt I'll have a loss at weigh in tomorrow night and I also don't really know what to do about this cycle that I seem to be in...

Of course you can stay with us! Now that you know the plan you'll easily be able to follow it at home. Just ask if you need any syn values or any other questions.

You're doing brilliantly to hang on in there at the moment. I feel for you but I will say again that eating healthily and keeping your own strength up has to be better for you while you support your DH through this awful time for you both. :A
Go to Iceland and get in SW ready meals if it helps. It has to be better than eating junk.

Do you keep a food diary? I know you can do it online or your consultant will give you a proforma from SW. Personally I find writing it down for myself in a notebook helps. You should be able to chart when exactly you start going off plan and then reflect on why. For example, if you save syns to go out with friends on a Friday night. That's fine but if you then tell yourself s*d it, I might as well carry on off plan for the whole weekend, that's where problems can arise. You need a detailed meal plan for the rest of the weekend to make sure you get back on it straight away. Another option would be not to go out much or stay alcohol free until you get to target:eek:. Personally I don't think that's sustainable but it is worth some extra effort and then you can relax a bit when you get to target.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk, skinny syrup, half banana
L: veggie omelette with bacon and pickles
D: beef in (fake) red wine (with mushrooms and onions), SW roast potatoes and BNS, swede & carrot mash, cauli, broccoli, cabbage
    Syns: cornflour 1, weekend wine:j.

I also use a notebook maman and thinking about, it's weekends. I don't really do a menu plan for them.

I'm not sure if it's because my weigh in is a Monday evening, so I kind of think my food week starts on a Tuesday, but I do my grocery shopping on a Saturday morning...I think I can see where I'm going wrong. I do my menu plan from Tuesday morning until Friday night and then make assumptions that I'll just 'grab tubs from the freezer or something' for the weekend.

I also stopped buying wine in my weekly shop, but then I've gone out to buy it and also bought snacks etc.

This week, I've bought wine :)

Glad to hear you're already working out where you're going wrong. Of course your meal plan needs to be for the whole week. Doing your shop on a Saturday means that's the start of your meal plan when you can have your best SW meals including plenty of fresh veg and probably more time to cook than weekdays. No problem buying wine with the weekly shop;). If it's on your plan why wouldn't you? You might also buy yourself some gin or vodka if you like spirits to have when you want to save some syns!:rotfl:

Vodka in the next shop it is, then!

Sometimes it just takes someone else to get you to take a closer look.

I still think that every few weeks I may need to add some crisps etc to my syns for the week, but certainly having a 7 day meal plan will help.

    Thanks maman

I'm on the G&T diet this weekend to try to stick to plan properly for a change! I'd like to get to bottom end of target and the only way I can actually lose a bit more than 0.5lb is to stick to plan properly!

There's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't plan in crisps to your week. That's what syns are for. Lots of people eat crisps, popcorn etc. Others like to use their syns for puddings or sauces & gravies. It's entirely up to you how you "spend" your syns over the week.

    Today's plan:

B - SW fry up (cooked by DH:T) bacon, egg, mushrooms, beans, peppers, tomatoes
L - sausage & onion toasted sandwich (one of my favourites!) - 2.5 syns
D - rib of beef, roast potatoes, roasted peppers, carrots & onions, cabbage/cauliflower; fine green beans; Syn Free gravy. Followed by lemon meringue pie - 8 syns:eek: Have used HM lemon curd (made by DD1s partner who is a pastry chef!), it's full of big pieces of lemon rid and has a real sharp kick - absolutely gorgeous

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - sausages 2.5; 3 Tbs lemon curd 7.5; meringue 0.5 (made with sweetener rather than sugar)

Won't make more lemon meringue pies like this for a while as I usually make 0.5 syn ones! not as nice but definitely more SW friendly:rotfl:.
