Bubbs, hope you get over your bug soon, cannot believe how much you drink !
Good week so far. More than 20,000 steps the other day visiting Tower of London. Plus a lot of stairs there plus on the tube, should do this more often
. Ended up in a Tkmaxx but forgot all about looking for the Skinny syrups, oh well. Still have a tiny bit left of a Waldens Farm bottle. Hoping the weather warms up again, had snow and hail on my day out in London Wednesday. Have a good weekend everyone.

Can't freeze them as separated and froze them in pairs when I bought them! So I've got 2 to use tomorrow which we'll have for lunch tomorrow - I'll have as my HEB + 4.5 syns again. Will leave it a while before we have the other 2:rotfl:
Can't palm them off on the kids 'cos when they come over they don't usually have anything to eat:D. They usually come over just after lunch and go home before dinner so I don't have to feed them:money:.

You are doing so well to hang on in there sue. I feel for your DH but hopefully he's getting the attention he needs. :A
Well done on getting a loss gtq.:T
Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better bubbs. Its only water and sugar free squash I drink but thanks.
When I started SW, I really missed fruit juice with my breakfast but I really don't think it's worth the syns. I always feel dehydrated in the mornings so I have a large (300 ml) glass of NAS squash with breakfast and, over time, I've got used to it. I generally have Pink Grapefruit as that's about the sharpest flavour.
Think it will need to be G&T rather than wine this evening to keep the syns a bit lower, LOL!
Denise
I had wine yesterday so I'm considering alcohol free today. Not sure if I can manage it though. We have football tonight (thanks to Sky:mad:) so I think I might need to drown some sorrows. I'm going to wait until later to decide.
I'm going to manage with what I've got in today and do my shop tomorrow. I'm also going to make more Bolognese as we used the last yesterday. Decided to have the corned beef hash as I fancied it denise. Will work syns out later.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with veggie chilli and picklescorned beef hash with green stuff (peas, mange tout and asparagus).
Syns: HP sauce 1, hash? wine??0 -
Maman have to say the addition of horseradish certainly made it really tasty. Will definitely be doing it that way again. The recipe I based it on was this one: https://theenglishkitchen.blogspot.com/2010/09/baked-corned-beef-hash.html. I added a total of 4 Tbs of horseradish over the 2 days but if you used a hot horseradish sauce it might not need as much!

Denise, what do you use in place of the cream? I really fancy trying this. I assume you also buy the low fat corned beef?0 -

I used quark in place of the cream. I didn't have the low fat corned beef so cut off the worst of the fat and then Synned it as normal.
I served it with a fried egg and beans. When reheating I stirred in some beans as it was a bit dry - I'm not too keen on the beans in it but DH loves it that way!

I use a splash of milk or some water and milk. It's to thin the horseradish down and make sure the hash isn't too dry. I've got mushrooms, a bit of courgette and leeks in mine too. You could use some beef stock like I do with Austrian ham hash which is similar and syn free.
I've prepped my hash ready for this evening so it's all ready to go in the oven. My DH doesn't eat eggs so I've put sliced tomatoes on top and I'll grate a bit of Parmesan (HEA2) on top too. We'll have it with asparagus, mange tout and peas as that's about all the Speed I've got left before I shop. Cabbage is good with it or broccoli.
I used a small tin of Olde Oak corned beef and it was incredibly lean. I think it came from the £shop or Home Bargains. I'll definitely buy more. I think it's Princes that sell lean corned beef (it's on syns online) but it's very hard to come by. Denise and I generally chill corned beef and cut visible fat off but didn't need to do that today0 -
Is your hash recipe similar to the one I linked to Maman? I don't usually do a baked one, just do it in the frying pan.

Thanks Maman i am certainly feeling better although very tired and only eaten 1 slice toast (dry) with 2 eggs scrambled on top of itSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0

Yes, almost identical but mine has carrots too plus all the extras I add.
I prefer to prep it early and put it in the oven when it suits me but it's not very mse I suppose.0
