    Thanks all,
It was a less chaotic ward yesterday (sister was on duty!)
They are pleased with how things are going.there is 1 st 2 lb less of DH than on Tuesday! And more to go ,he has had some heart investigations and they are reasonably happy .
He is still bed ridden and his mobility is shot ,so today I chase physio .
He looked better initially but then his legs stared to spasm ( do at home)and he was in a lot of pain
Had a home madeSW curry from my freezer last night ,will think re tonight
    Good luck all

She mentions sugar free so I think it is just water and NAS squash she's drinking.

I'd assumed the same that she meant squash and not juice.

  • Another 1lb bites the dust! Happy with that as I dropped into another stone count, not seen that number for years!

Always good when you see a new lower number on the scales GTQ.

    Trying some new foods/recipes today!

B - New York wholemeal bagel filled with cream cheese (3 Syns) and smoked salmon (was lovely! will add more smoked salmon when we have them again!!!)
L - HM pea and ham soup
D - Basil & lemon chickpeas with mackerel - new to me recipe from the BBC Good Food website. I've cooked the chickpeas this morning in the pressure cooker so they'll be ready later.

    HEA - Milk
HEB - New York WM bagel
Syns - 25g cream cheese 3; alcohol - not decided whether to have wine or gin tonight!

  • Morning all

Thought I'd update with a couple of my meals plans - feel free to make suggestions if I am going wrong anywhere:

    Yesterday

B - Quaker So Simple Oats (plain, big bowl) with (measured!) 250ml SS milk so HEX A&B
L - Homemade crustless quiche (tasted a LOT better than it looked). It had lean ham, peppers, onions and tomatoes with 90g of grate cheese (full fat). This made three portions so that's my second HEXA. I had that with salad (mixed leaves, tomatoes, raw pepper, spring onion and beetroot).
Tablespoon of Hellman's light mayo (2)
D - Pasta bol made with tomatoes, onions, peppers & grated carrot.

No additional syns and drinks were the most delicious herbal teas.
  • Today's plan:

B - Quaker So Simple Oats (plain, big bowl) with (measured!) 250ml SS milk so HEX A&B
    L - Leftover pasta bol
Snack - Fruit (apple, nectarine and raspberries) with 100g full fat natural yoghurt (3) and a measured tablespoon of maple syrup (2)
D - Omelette with 30g cheese and ham with salad (mixed leaves, tomatoes, raw pepper, spring onion and beetroot and capers). Tablespoon light mayo (2)

    Drinks - Herbal tea.

Lioness you could save a few syns if you used Lighter than Light mayo as that is only 0.5 syns per Tbs.

A change to my plan after checking the Bagels! I picked up the wrong ones from SM! It is actually the bagel thins that are the HEB but as they are WM (and I am at target so not quite as strict as should be sometimes!) I am counting them as HEB + 4.5 syns - they are actually 10.5 syns each! I certainly won't be buying them again but I'm not going to throw away the rest of the packet so will need to use them :money:.

Think it will need to be G&T rather than wine this evening to keep the syns a bit lower, LOL!

Oh I am so cross with myself! I've +1LB this morning. Entirely my own fault so I have no reason to feel aggrieved but I do. I now need to shift 1.5lbs to get back into range. Aaarrrggghhh!
    Restart pending!
    Hea milk
    Heb
    B banana and yogurt
L chicken breast salad with cold new pots
    D bacon and butternut risotto
No wine tonight as we have friend over tomorrow evening for drinks and nibbles. Will be defiantly serving sw nibbles!!
    Enough of the pity party!
