Well done Sary on avoiding the hot cross buns! DH is the problem when we go shopping he'll often say let's get this or that and I invariably say No but sometimes he'll slip things in when I'm not looking! But if he does I'll take one out of the packet for him and then freeze the rest individually so I then don't touch them! Works for me.

I was absolutely amazed to find I'd only put on 0.5lb even after my alcohol fuelled long weekend! but have been completely on plan Monday too Wednesday. Had more Syns then usual for a Wednesday night but just fancied the corned beef hash. The baked version worked quite well. We had the leftovers for lunch today but I added another couple of spoonfuls of horseradish as it wasn't quite tasty enough yesterday. Was much better reheated!

    Today's plan:

B - grapes & quark before I left for WI and then a pot of melon after
L - LO corned beef hash (synned yesterday so just syns for 1 Tbs horseradish) 1.5 syns
D - cauliflower cheese & chips - 3.5 syns for sauce mix (my own sauces always seem to split! so it's worth the syns)

    HEA1 - milk for drinks
HEA2 - milk & cheese for cauliflower cheese

Syns - cheese sauce mix 3.5; horseradish 1.5

Glad you enjoyed the corned beef hash denise. I need to put it on my own meal plan as I haven't had it in a while.:)

Funnily enough I bought some YS hot cross buns in the Co-op yesterday when I was getting my BoB milk. I buy a few non SW treats for DH most weeks (cakes, biscuits, chocolate) but I don't fancy them myself. They don't call to me like crisps might. I did find myself yesterday evening working out whether half a hot cross bun might be worth the syns but decided it wasn't. I chopped a pear into cottage cheese instead and that was yummy.:)

Just half a pound for a birthday and Mothers' Day is excellent denise.:)

Lunch was one f those 'could be worse' meals. I had scallops followed by sole meuniere. The scallops were pan fried with a few tiny cubes of chorizo and served on peas so a couple of syns there. The sole is obviously cooked in butter and it came with salad (oily dressing) and new potatoes. Plus wine syns.;)

If I'm hungry later I'll have something SW friendly and then back on the wagon tomorrow.:)

Maman I was actually away from Thursday lunchtime until Sunday lunchtime and celebrating my birthday with various friends from Thursday to Saturday, LOL! Absolutely on the wagon from Sunday to Wednesday.

Am having a couple of G&Ts this evening so a few Syns on top on those already mentioned but with the day's syns.

Am getting insanely worried that I will gain this week due to all the water/sugar free juice I am drinking. I feel bloated and like I have gained but I have stuck to plan all week.

I drink about 3 pints a day plus a tea in the morning and a coffee in the evening.

Penny as long as it's water and sugar free drinks then it's not a problem, it won't cause you to gain. The most likely reaction is to need to run to the loo more often, LOL!

Apple/orange juice ( per 100ml)and I don't want to alarm you but have you checked the Syn value on your juice that your drinking?

Typically Per 100Ml is 2 Syns for a sugar free concentrate of apple juice or orange juice.

If you drink 568Ml (1 pint) that equates to 10.5 Syns per 1 pint, or 31.5 Syns per 3 pints of juice if this is an amount you ingest in one day along with water, and a high chance your not counting them as Syns when drinking along with water through the day.

She mentions sugar free so I think it is just water and NAS squash she's drinking.
