I was interested at the Pinch of Nom article that was published. I think to be a sw consultant, you have to have been a member and lost weight but what happens when life gets in the way and you put on weight? Surely employment rights mean they can't sack you? And actually , I'd prefer a consultant whose weight journey was an honest one and who shared her journey with you good or bad.

That's interesting bubbs . My consultant tells us about meals she's cooked and local places for good shopping deals but never about her own weight loss. I suspect because there is none. :(
Hope you enjoyed the KFC? ;)

Slight change of plan tonight and I did a big tray of roast veg with the burgers and sweet potato chips that were YS in Sainsburys.

I did well for YS bargains and Sunday roasts and other meals are sorted for a few weeks. :D

I suspect the sort of franchise arrangements means that you can keep going as long as it's financially worthwhile for both sides.

I can see that a consultant who's going through what you're going through is good but (for me) the way forward is to stick closely to plan with the support of the consultant and group and then follow the plan long term as a default way of eating. Obviously the consultant should do the same but I'd expect them to be well down the road before becoming a consultant.

Morning all, sorry I've been a bit AWOL, was away last weekend. Two WIs to report please Chris:

    23/03/19 = STS
    30/03/19 = 1lb gain

Up to last week I'd STS so many weeks in a row that I had to get back on the scales with a heavy bag just to check they weren't stuck! (Also the bag weighed half a stone and it was really heavy to carry so that's a good little motivator).

I've been lucky to only have a 1lb gain after weeks of only being semi-on-plan. Being back at work full time is HARD. Some days I feel like all I do is go to work, come home, make my tea and packed lunch and snacks for the next day, wash up, and go to bed. Work-eat-sleep-repeat. This week I'm going to try minimum prep stuff - WW wraps with ham and grated cheese, carrot and cucumber sticks, and fruit.

I need to do some batch cooking this weekend as the freezer is looking a bit depleted - maybe a bolognese and a veg curry.

Hope everyone is well - I've got a quiet week this week so will aim to post here more and try to keep up!

    Hi All,

Not been on here for a while, but I hope everyone is well.

I restarted group just after Christmas and I haven't lost much weight at all. I stopped going to group due the fact I couldn't get back to my target and it was costing me too much and put on just over a stone.

I normally WI on a Saturday morning, but I went to Thursday evening after work - this was due to the fact I knew I was going out for Buffet meal on Friday, but I still put on 2lb. I don't know if that was because of the time of day and it wasn't a full week since I had weighed in. I have a countdown, so It wouldn't have made any difference if I had gone to group or not, as I couldn't book a holiday.

I have eaten loads today, as I seem to have lost all my self control!

Told myself I didn't want to be a serial re-joiner of SW - I enjoy going to group and have made loads of nice friends, but if I can't get back to my target this time I don't know what I'll do.

Don't like going to Thursday group, as a lot of the members don't seem to be committed to it and there's a lovely lady whose been going for ages and never seems to lose any weight. She has openly told me that she doesn't care if she loses or maintains, she just comes for the social aspect of it. Well it's her £4.95 every week she's paying.

Bought the PON book recently, but haven't had time to cook anything from it yet!

Have a great Saturday all! x

Lost 1.5 lbs so thats a total of 1st 3.5 lbs now.

I know I shouldn’t, but I still feel very envious of people at group who lose 3, 4 or 5 lbs in a week. I work SO hard to lose about a pound every week. There are people who have lost the same as me but in less than half the time!

Can’t remember if I posted before but I bought the PON book and have done the Salmon and Broccoli Quiche and its great! I have also done the Enchilada Lasagne from their site and that is very tasty too.All the family eat it and I don’t mention PON or SW and they love it! :rotfl:

I love Turkish food tie. In less than 12 weeks I'll be on my Turkish holiday and eating aubergines like they're going out of fashion.:D

I'm sure you can get back to target abbafan:). You've gone back to group, bought a Countdown and posted here so you must be serious about it. What I'd do is get everything written down: a meal plan, a shopping list and a food diary. It always helps me get organised. Good luck for the week ahead.

:T well done on your loss penny. If it's any consolation, I worked out that the women behind Pinch of Nom are only losing half a pound a week so you're doing brilliantly compared with them and they're supposed to be experts!:D

I'm out tonight, sharing a buffet with a group of friends. I know what everyone is bringing and it looks like the only syns will be in salad dressings unless I have some quiche. So I'm hoping for the best. I'll be dancing a lot too so there's a bit of Body Magic.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk, skinny syrup and banana
    L: veggie omelette with pickles
    D: buffet salads
    Syns: tbc
