Thinking of you suffolksue and you beanie

It's crazy busy at work, which often means I don't drink enough water, but I really need to make this a priority.

I've been eating some of my home made meals from the freezer this week (also known as tubs) with added salad.

Though it was a colleagues last day yesterday and he brought in cakes from Birds Bakery and I had a vanilla slice. It was lovely and it was nice to think that I could have something if I wanted and if I didn't fancy anything then I could leave it. I love the control that sw gives.

Though, the women in the office are very much 'are you having a cake?' Almost like they can have or not have one unless everyone else is doing the same. Drives me crazy...if you want the cake, then eat the cake and if you don't, then don't...

    Anyway, today's food:

B: fat free yoghurt & frozen mixed berries
    L: chilli bacon pasta
T: enchilada lasagne HEA & HEAB), sw chips & salad

Fruit and milk (HEA) for hot drinks

In regards to the pon authors and sw consultants, I want to 'follow' people who have been successful. I wouldn't take money advice from someone in debt and I think you can still empathise with people about how hard it is, having lost the weight.

That's a really good analogy Frankie. I've been thinking about it myself too. I've had 3 regular consultants. The first was losing loads of baby weight when I joined and then went on to have 3 more children. This time she was more sensible during pregnancy and then got back to her target soon after. She went back to her day job and my present consultant took over the morning sessions. She's a reasonable size but still carries a lot around her middle. I don't think she's lost much, if anything, in the last couple of years. I think she's learned how to maintain but didn't push herself to get to target first. The other one that I do weigh and go with sometimes used to be a member of my first group. She lost masses of weight. I think she may have been national Slimmer of the Year. I know she was on tv and in the papers. Unfortunately she's now put lots of it back on. :(

I don't know the exact rules for becoming a consultant but I'd have thought you had to accept that it was a lifelong way of eating. I think maybe people have problems that makes them comfort eat and they don't go away with SW. It's sad.:(

I'm going to do my meal plan and list for shopping later. I'm out tomorrow with a shared buffet but other than mayo/dressing it looks fine. I'll be driving so that'll cut down on syns!;) Next meal out is next Thursday but I'll worry about that nearer the time.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, scrambled eggs, HEA mil for drinks

    L: LO chickenless casserole
D: HM burger, SW chips, fried onions, asparagus, tomatoes, mushrooms

Syns: HP sauce 1, weekend wine:D

I agree with this analogy also. Whilst I'm 'going it alone' this time around, the times I have attended group the consultant was a very large lady, who seemed to only gain weight the years I went. I found staying to group quite depressing, as the majority of those that stayed were quite elderly and talked a lot about bowel movements, and the only real advice the consultant would give was 'eat vegetables, but remember you can have those little treats'. Every year she did a Christmas raffle, and most of the raffle prizes (over 100) were tubs of chocolates or biscuits, which I found really at odds with the whole principal that we were a group of people that could be dysfunctional around indulgent foods! It would have made more sense to have had less prizes and included gift cards, or baskets of nice toiletries/fragrance, or even vouchers for beauty treatments or sessions at the local gym/leisure centre, etc.

Back at work and it's as manic as ever, and feel like I've never been away.

    Food plan today:
    B - banana
    L - mixed salad with ham & cheese (HEA1) LF dressing (1).
    Strawberries, mango & apple
    D - egg, sw chipps & salad
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Another day of temptation! went to the coast for a long walk in the sunshine. Went for coffee and sat in the sun and two very slim ladies came and sat on the next table and proceeded to scoff the most enormous Cornish pasties. I had nothing but coffee.:(.

then we walked back and people were sitting outside having fish and chips and I wanted some so badly but didn’t. Walked up to a fruit shop and bought some plums!

It had damned well better pay off at WI tomorrow!

I see the new mag is out on 4th April? I was wondering about trying the digital copy from sw? Anyone else get a digital copy and would you recommend? What happens when there's a freebie recipe booklet? Do you get this too with the digital copy?

That's interesting bubbs . My consultant tells us about meals she's cooked and local places for good shopping deals but never about her own weight loss. I suspect because there is none. :(
Hope you enjoyed the KFC? ;)

Slight change of plan tonight and I did a big tray of roast veg with the burgers and sweet potato chips that were YS in Sainsburys.

I did well for YS bargains and Sunday roasts and other meals are sorted for a few weeks. :D
