Hello All
Am pleased to have a loss of -2.5 this week, feel like I'm finally moving forwards, lightest I've been this year. Not sure how I'll go next week though with Mother's Day, and I've had to put the couch to 5k on hold for a bit as I've been experiencing pain and stiffness in my ankle, not aware of doing anything to it but thought it would be wise to give it a rest for a bit.
B porridge (hexb)
Milk (1)
Tsp maple syrup (1/2)
Mixed berries
L campfire stew and handful of new potatoes, apple
D rice, 2 fried eggs, salad and some grated cheese (hexa) I know I'm light on speed .
S popcorn (2 1/2)
Mini crunchie (6)'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Wow! It's quiet on here. Hope you're all out enjoying the beautiful sunshine. I've had a glorious walk this morning so got some Body Magic in.
I had a couple of syns yesterday. The stir fry I made for lunch was a bit dry and bland (I should have added more soy and spice) but it was already on my plate by then so I had some sweet chilli sauce which helped a lot.
I was reading earlier how the new Pinch of Nom book has broken all selling records for a paperback in its first week. I can see that buying a new cookbook can motivate and encourage people to have variety in their plan/diet. What did disappoint me though was the photograph of the two authors. I felt a bit cheated that (although apparently they've lost 5/7 stone each over 3 years), they're enormous!
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-47718289
So they're promoting a cookbook (and previously a blog for some years) that's portion and calorie controlled and SW and WW friendly, so why isn't it working better for them?? Is it just me or do you expect your 'consultant' to be able to demonstrate success or is it enough for them to empathise that it's not easy and they haven't cracked it themselves? On reflection I suppose 2 stone over a year isn't that bad but it is barely more than half a pound a week.Apologies, I know I'm cynical.:o
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, fried egg, baked beans
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onion, pickled cabbage, beetroot and cornichonschicken casserole (onion, leek, mushrooms, carrots, asparagus) with butter beans and new potatoes
Syns: cornflour 10 -

Wow ,I feel quite slim!
Having an up and down week so far ,DH is noticeably frailer and it s sad .
A lovely chap from the DWP came yesterday to compete the Attendance Allowance forms ,apparently part of an agreement with the Parkinson's society
He was really kind ,summed up the situation and wrote it all ,of course he didn't know about the latest fall and diagnosis .was shocked .
He said it can take up to a month (will be backdated ) but he thought it was a'no brainer'
Really depressing saying it all in one go and seeing it written down .
DH was really flat afterwards .0 -

It is always very difficult seeing everything in black & white.
Hopefully claim will go through quickly.
