    Wow ,I feel quite slim!
Having an up and down week so far ,DH is noticeably frailer and it s sad .
A lovely chap from the DWP came yesterday to compete the Attendance Allowance forms ,apparently part of an agreement with the Parkinson's society
He was really kind ,summed up the situation and wrote it all ,of course he didn't know about the latest fall and diagnosis .was shocked .
He said it can take up to a month (will be backdated ) but he thought it was a'no brainer'
Really depressing saying it all in one go and seeing it written down .
DH was really flat afterwards .

Agree with you SS about feeling slim!

This may not be in your area, but my aunt in Ireland has Parkinson's and is a member of a local group and it is a tonic for her. They have social events, days out etc, but everyone's ability is factored in on the day, is this something you could involved in?
A smile costs little but creates much :)
  • So sorry to hear things are so tough for you, Suffolksue.

I had a day off today to buy an outfit for my son's engagement party this Saturday. Got a really lovely dress from Phase 8. I am also rather pleased that I managed to stay away from the cakes in the Italian cafe where I had coffee. Meal plan for today:

B - Raspberries and 100g full fat Greek yog (3) with a tablespoon of honey (2.5)
L - Sandwich made with two small slices of wholemeal bread, sliced chicken, salad leaves and cucumber with tomatoes on the side (HEXB)
D - I am making a veg packed mac and cheese as per the latest magazine. The cheese (30g) is HEXA. I'll have that with a large salad.

No snacks and no additional Syns other than those (above) as I was out with work colleagues last night and am sure I had many!

We were out for the day and daughter wanted to call at Macdonalds. She had a big chicken burger with chips, hubby had a chicken premier with mayo and chips and I had a salad with chicken and bacon and a bag of apples and a few grapes. I could have murdered a chip but I stood firm!! lets hope it pays off on Saturday.

I also bought a measured bottle from Home Bargains (2.49) which holds 750 ml and is marked off to remind you to drink every hour throughout the day.

    Thanks all.
Started well today Museli with fat free Greek yoghurt and a banana ,but have fallen off the wagon since .
DH specially requested I bring back the pensioners deal fish and chips for midday dinner and I did .two portions .!
Must watch this as the temptation is to get him what he wants and I defy anybody to watch someone eating a chippie dinner and partake too !
    Then I had a hot cross bun ,which I didn't need .
Line drawn now ,nothing until tomorrow which is planned slow cooked gammon sin free .

Yes Beanie I can’t wait until son #3 is back home. He turned 21 yesterday, and only lived away out of necessity, for his job, but it will be lovely to have him back again :heartsmil
