Bubbs I suffer with plantar fasciitis and Skechers shoes have been my saving grace. If you can locate an outlet store nearby I recommend going to one. I’m lucky to have one about 10 miles away. I find the shoes come up a bit on the generous size, about half a size bigger on average but I think that’s due to the width. Definitely go for ones with the extra cushioned soles like ‘Go Walk’ or they had one with ‘yoga mat’, as some are more comfy than others. I even wear black leather skecher shoes with dresses at work. Wouldn’t be without them.
Thanks, i definitely need something as my toes are really painful:o
    Well done on your loss:T

As you said sary. That's better than a gain!:D

I'm another Skechers fan. They're as comfortable as wearing slippers. I haven't had any problems with my feet until very recently my toes ached (probably from too much dancing) the podiatrist recommended orthotic insoles. The trouble is that very few shoes (well that's shoes I'd consider wearing) will fit the insoles. Because Skechers are well made, the insoles are sewn in and can't be removed and so the shoes aren't 'deep' enough to take the insoles on top. All I could find are cheapo 'fake' Skechers in Shoe Zone. Their insoles are just held in with a dab of glue so I can replace them. So I just wear these when I know I'm going to be walking a lot. The insoles cost more than the shoes!

That's the last of the golden syrup so I'll be trying the sugar free one from TKMaxx next.:)

I went to the podiatrist as had already had a MRI scan and XRAY on my knee and x ray on my foot and was told there was nothing wrong with it.
The podiatrist said straight away its not your foot its your knee i can see that and if i prescribe insoles will make your knee worse :o so she wrote to the doctor and said i needed to be referred to an orthopedic consultant and bingo after a year of pain finally got answers:T:T
I am using the raspberry one from TK maxx at the moment

    Evening all :D
Well done to all the losers a sts'ers:T:T:T
Well today i have had a phone call for an CT scan for tues on my nose, so that was quick!

I'm more than happy to have syns, I'm just struggling to fit them in. As it is unless the fruit I have is eaten as a meal, I'm not eating that either. Im a natural 3 meal a day kind of person and I'm liking that I've slipped back into that quite easily!

I couldn't face cooking last night, so had a slimming world chicken dopiaza and slimming world vegetable biriyani from Iceland. They were okay, not as good as home made. But they do the job.

I couldn't have them regularly, though.
  • I've been to weigh in this morning as I couldn't get to my normal class. Different consultant,, scales and venue.
I maintained. I feel a bit peeved as I know ie had a good week (hence my excuses about venue etc)
Ah well another week begins and I know it will pay off eventually.

    Reportingsts please Chris.
Not really surprising as had the paramedics out yesterday ,when I just couldn't get DH up!
They were lovely ,but found his heart rate was rapid and irregular ,they phoned GP who saw him at the end of surgery.a repeat ECG confirmed Atrial Fibrillation ,they'd aren't give blood thinners as the risk of serious bleeding from the next fall is greater than the risk of stroke .We agree , back to GP on Monday .
All surprised as only 8 months ago he had multiple cardiac tests for an abnormally slow heart .
Lovely nurse patched his cuts and grazes etc .
We are so lucky with our GP surgery .
Will try. And do better next week

You're doing the best you can under the circumstances Suffolksue. You've got a lot going on at the moment. It's a case of good when you can and careful when you can't. SW has to fit in with your life on the other way round. It's good you have a good GP surgery - we can't even get to see a nurse without an appointment and that takes at least 3 weeks!

    Today's plan:

B - stuffed mushrooms - stuffed with couscous, mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers, spring onions and topped with HEA cheese
    L - leek & potato soup
D - beef bourguignon, mash & veg - Syns for red wine the beef is marinaded in

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - 30g cheese
HEB - probably bread with the beef bourguignon and/or soup

    Syns - 50ml red wine 2?

STS is good under the circumstances sue. It means you're hanging on in there and not gaining despite the circumstances. It's a dreadful time and I feel for you (both).:A

That's the right attitude too midge. It will come good in the end. :D That's the difference with SW IMO. People who want a quick fix or lose weight and go back to normal (the normal that made them fat in the first place:think:) rarely stay the course.

I eat very little fruit too Frankie. Perhaps a bit more in the summer when berries are in season and melon is quite cheap. Like you, I like 3 good meals a day and almost all my Speed comes from vegetables. If I snack at all it's late in the evening if I've had my dinner early or I might grab a slice of meat from the fridge just because it's there.

You're right, they do serve a purpose but I don't think anyone on here eats them regularly. I try to keep something home made in the freezer (Bolognese being the go to) that I can grab when I'm short of time or CBA.:)

    Syns - 50ml red wine 2?
    Denise

When I read that I thought you were going to have a 50ml glass of weekend wine! I thought what's the point???:( Then I saw it was a marinade. Relief. I thought you were losing it.:D

I'm making a fairly synful casserole tonight. I've not worked it out yet but it has a honey and sherry marinade and cornflour. Not much of each but it's more than I'd like. It's an old recipe that I did before SW and I want to use up the pork as it's been knocking around the freezer for a while.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: HM salmon fishcakes, beetroot, pickled cabbage
D: sweet and sour pork casserole (carrots, peppers, mushrooms, beansprouts) with rice
Syns: HP sauce 1 and others tba.

Sorry to hear things are up in the air for you Sue. I’m not sure if your hubbys history but hope they can make his AF manageable, I had beta blockers and a cardioversion for mine so hopefully they can find something suitable for him that works. In the mean time Denise is right. Slimming World is supposed to be a lifestyle change and hiccups are going to occur along the way and it seems like you are doing the best you can to make the plan work for you at the moment.

Do many of you use Facebook groups for ideas and things? I’m a member of a few but all anyone seems to be posting about is the PON book at the minute. Even on the none PON groups. A fair bit of hate for it too.

Well my WI showed a 5.5lb loss this week that I’m pleased with. Currently doing a meal plan and waiting for hubby to take me food shopping.
