I can't wait to fit into my currently 'a bit too tight' clothing, so well done Sary. I'm very excited for you!
I seem to stay in the same clothing size for between 2-3 stone before a dress size changes for me. It's great if you've put on a bit of weight but it means that when losing weight it seems to take forever to see the change.
Food today:
B: boiled eggs, fat free natural yog & mixed summer fruits
L: farfalloni con funghi (from last night) - this was lovely and I'll make it again. Maybe some cheese on top (HEA)
T: chicken & veg dahl ( chicken, onion, cauliflower, lentils, green beans) and then I'm going to make some kind of garlicy naan thingy with some mini pitta breads (HEB)
Grapes, apple, satsumas and milk (HEA) for hot drinks.
I've used barely any syns this week but I've not needed them. 'Junk' type food is a real binge trigger for me so I try to stay away from them and I'm having a break from alcohol for a while cause that can make me want to eat those trigger foods.
I'm hoping at some point I'll be able to find balance with them, though I'm pretty sure that its not going to do me any harm to not have crisps again!0 -
One happy bunny reporting in at MAINTAINING! Chuffed to bits at that having been on holidaysA smile costs little but creates much0

Great NSV Sary.
FrankieM - if you don't want to eat junk or have alcohol at the moment use your syns for things like gravy, sauces etc. You do need to make sure you have some.
Well done GTQ. That's brilliant.

Didn't manage to post yesterday so just had a catch up.
Well done on being in target range denise and getting a little loss beanie.:T
It seems a number of us have done well to minimise damage on holiday gtq. Well done you! :TI was delighted when I only gained half a pound.
Sorry to have confused the issue equating PON with those Chubby people. They did show a picture of the PON book on the programme.I can see why they'd need to appear to be doing something new if they want to market a book. It's just that I've only ever looked at their website for SW friendly recipes.
I'm not knocking calorie counting. It's a system that works for many people and we've often had posters that use MFP to count alongside SW. For me, calorie counting wouldn't work as what I like about SW is that I can eat as much as I like provided I'm eating enough of the right (healthy) things. Yes, you can lose by counting calories but it's not the SW plan.
I had a relatively good day yesterday. There was large group of us out for lunch and people chose a range of stuff from sandwiches to full meals. I went for a JP with prawns and a glass of wine so probably within a day's syns. All the rest of my food was SW friendly. The trouble is I don't usually have syns on a Thursday as I want to have them at the weekend.;) I shouldn't be doing both.:o
Not sure how today's going to pan out. I'll post again later.:)0 -
Quick post on the train atm as I forgot to say -0.2lb this week. Talk about slowing down, but it’s not a gain! One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Bubbs I suffer with plantar fasciitis and Skechers shoes have been my saving grace. If you can locate an outlet store nearby I recommend going to one. I’m lucky to have one about 10 miles away. I find the shoes come up a bit on the generous size, about half a size bigger on average but I think that’s due to the width. Definitely go for ones with the extra cushioned soles like ‘Go Walk’ or they had one with ‘yoga mat’, as some are more comfy than others. I even wear black leather skecher shoes with dresses at work. Wouldn’t be without them. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Just back from the hospital with DH. He's had a problem with one of his eyes for about a month now and has seen 2 doctors who have given him different drops/creams to try but haven't helped. The dr he saw last week told him to use the drops for 5 days and referred him to the eye department at the hospital (fortunately not the one I had to go to last week!). Unfortunately an appointment hasn't come through yet and his eye seems to be getting worse so decided to go to A&E there. The A&E dr spoke to an ophthalmologist who gave him some more drops which hopefully will help.
Apparently his referral has been "triaged" and he should get a date soon but is considered non urgent so no idea how long he'll have to wait.
I've had a look through the PON book and have to say I'm not that impressed! Definitely glad I didn't pay full price for it! There's a few recipes in it I might try but not that many I don't think.
Back to SW matters! Today's plan:
B - baked oats with quark, grapes, strawberries & melon
L - carrot & lentil soup; apple & easy peeler
D - fish pie; will add peas to it and serve with extra green veg but not sure what yet but probably green beans & broccoli
HEA1 & 2 - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - white sauce

As you said sary. That's better than a gain!:D
I'm another Skechers fan. They're as comfortable as wearing slippers. I haven't had any problems with my feet until very recently my toes ached (probably from too much dancing) the podiatrist recommended orthotic insoles. The trouble is that very few shoes (well that's shoes I'd consider wearing) will fit the insoles. Because Skechers are well made, the insoles are sewn in and can't be removed and so the shoes aren't 'deep' enough to take the insoles on top. All I could find are cheapo 'fake' Skechers in Shoe Zone. Their insoles are just held in with a dab of glue so I can replace them. So I just wear these when I know I'm going to be walking a lot. The insoles cost more than the shoes!
I've been out with a friend this morning and just had an Americano. The coffee shop was packed and doing a bit of people watching in the queue it's amazing how many overweight people are eating mid morning. Some were having full English, some scones or cakes and others things like croissants. I'd had my breakfast before I went out but I know that by choosing egg, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and beans (they offer a choice of 5 items), I could have made it fairly SW friendly. Even hash browns are fairly low syn and a better option than toast (unless HEB).
I won't be shopping today but I'll do my meal plan for the coming week. I've plenty of food in to see me through today.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk, half banana
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onion, beetroot and pickled cabbageHM burger, SW chips, tomato, mushrooms, green stuff (asparagus and something).
Syns: syrup 2.5, weekend wine??
That's the last of the golden syrup so I'll be trying the sugar free one from TKMaxx next.:)0 -
