Hope you had a lovely birthday TIE

I am desperately trying to recoup syns we had a takeaway on Thursday and dh made a chocolate cake on Friday, no idea what possessed him, he's made a cake once in the 29 years we've been together. I said I would have one piece and that was all, which I have managed to stick to (so far) im trying to be strong as I really want a loss, even a little one this week as I feel I've only been treading water this year so far.

B thin bagel (hexb) cheese (hexa)
D roast chicken, veg, potatoes will use a couple of syns in on gravy and will try to avoid the Yorkshire puds.

Later I'll try to stick to fruit.

    Enjoy your Sunday x

Decided to have a drink after all last night so over on syns but still have 30 syns left for 4 days so that's OK.

    Today's plan:

B - SW fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, baked beans, tomato, pepper & spring onion
L - scrambled eggs with spinach stirred through on toast
D - Roast lamb rack; roast potatoes, peppers, onion, green beans, Brussels & broccoli; followed by SF jelly

    HEA - milk in drinks
    HEB - bread
Syns - jelly 0.5; not sure what else but may have some dark chocolate and/or mikado sticks

Hope you had a lovely birthday TIE

The enchilada lasagne was lovely. I've got some for lunch and 2 portions for the freezer. I'd definitely make it again.

I stayed up later than normal to watch a film and had some snacks so some syns used up this week at last.

    Todays food:

B: fruit (banana and/or satsuma) , maybe some boiled eggs
    L: Enchilada lasagne (HEA)(HEB) & salad
T: Chicken wrapped in bacon, slimming world chips and green beans

Milk (HEA) for hot drinks and maybe a yoghurt later for 'pudding'

Don't know if anyone saw the 'Save Money, Lose Weight' programme. I watched it on catch up. It compares the success of various diets over 28 days and calculates the cost of each per pound lost. I think it's been on before.

One of last night's diets was Pinch of Nom. They called it a calorie controlled diet which confused me. I thought the Chubby Chubs did SW??

Another thing was it seemed very expensive although they didn't really explain where the money went.

    Did anyone else see it?:)

Aren't Chubby Cubs and Pinch of Nom two separate entities? But yes, the Chubby's did SW (very successfully, despite their obvious hatred and refusal to use Frylight!). PON are more calorie controlled and mentioned Weight Watcher points in addition to Syns in their recipes.

Ooops, just seen that this has been answered. That'll teach me to speed read :o

I want to report -1lb this week. Little disappointed; weight loss seems to be much slower this time round. Could be my age or the exercise but it's a little frustrating. I know that I am in this for the long haul but I have such a long way to go it's going to a year to get to target :(

I'm going to start an eating diary; I've been pretty lax about this and it should help to pinpoint where I am going wrong - if I am going wrong.

Twinkletoes - you post your menus on here each day to see if anyone on here can spot anything, as well as keeping a record yourself.

    That's a good idea....I'll start today

B - 40g Weetabix minis with SS milk (HEA & HEB)
L - Fruit and yoghurt (nectarine, pear, banana) drizzle of honey (2)
D - Slow roasted shoulder of lamb with mashed swede, broccoli, carrots & greens. No gravy as I prefer my food dry.
    S - Orange and a 2 finger KitKat (5.5)

That's the plan. If I eat anymore I'll add to it.

The first thing I'd say is do you measure your milk because if you don't that can add quite a few Syns if you go over.

You say a drizzle of honey - that too should be measured!

I'd also say that the slow roasted shoulder of lamb will probably have syns in it as it's quite a fatty joint.

It may be things like that which are slowing your losses.

    Afternoon all.

    Belated birthday greetings TIE

Currently on my way home From a lovely weekend away with my best friend. It’s been a bit off-plan but I did spend last night dancing for 3 solid hours at a disco legends show. Never thought I’d see The Village People or the Three Defrees in real life, but my lovely friend had booked tickets. It was amazing! (Although the remaining original member of TVP could do with adopting a SW lifestyle )
Have just been for a delicious Thai meal to celebrate my friend’s work bonus. Suffice to say my week’s syns are all pretty much used up now!

Back on it properly tomorrow, and real life is to be lived alongside SW if it’s to stick with me and I’m to stick with it.

Will post meal plan tomorrow- can’t wait to get back home to see my OH now
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
