I started a 12 week countdown on Saturday and am determined to lose a second stone by the end of it ready to go on holiday. Last summer I had to buy bigger shorts and tops and I i hated every single second wearing them.

although I have lost 1st 2 lbs I can’t really see much difference.

GTQ - I feel for you, toothache is horrible. Like you it's not something I suffer with usually, think I've only had it once. Hope you can get an emergency appointment and get it sorted.

Currently cooking some chickpeas which I soaked overnight and then I'm going to make a batch of Chana Masala for the freezer. Once they're cooked I'll need to make up the curry paste before cooking the curry. Haven't made this before but found what looks to be a fairly easy recipe at the weekend so going to give it a go. It's always handy to have Syn Free ready meals in the freezer.

    Today's plan:

B - Fry up - bacon, egg, fried up LO potatoes, beans, tomatoes & mushrooms
L - Cheese on toast using 2nd HEA with HEB
D - Burger, chips, mushrooms, onions - DH will have his with a part bake baguette which needs using up

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - not sure but may pinch a small piece of the baguette but will weigh and Syn it!

You posted while I was typing my post!

Good luck with losing another stone during your countdown. Should be easily doable!

Although you can't see much difference you can bet your life that others can see it. Have you got a photo of when you started that you could compare with one taken now? That's probably the best way of seeing it.

If you haven't perhaps you've got a holiday photo from last summer when you were unhappy with your weight and decided to do something about it to compare your current self with.

Cause it's just me, unless the super 6 is something that's in my menu plan I don't really bother...

It's worth finding out what's in Super 6 and trying to include that in your menu plan. It can be very mse :money:. Sometimes I rethink my plan (always written in the corner of my shopping list) when I'm in the shops when I see something on offer or YS.

I need to do a 'roast' on a Sunday. Your meals all look lovely and I think I miss it cause I get to a Sunday and generally am not satisfied by my meals...
You can make a roast type meal without doing a large joint although you can always use up any cold meat left over. You could make a casserole or HB steaks or lamb or pork chops into a roast and then you have the bonus of all the LO veg.
I cook extra on purpose. I use them for my lunches but you could easily have a quick evening meal. I could eat bubble & squeak and pickles every day!:D If you make casseroles for 4 people (average recipe) then you can keep that for a midweek meal or freeze for another day.

Hopefully it will show with the extra stone penny. What really matters though is that you'll know you're much lighter than you were last year. Sometimes just feeling that your clothes are much looser and more comfortable can be as motivating as losing a dress size.

As above, I've got plenty of LO veg from yesterday and cold beef so lunch is sorted.:D

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: cold meat, LO veg fried, pickles
D: baked salmon, SW chips, cauli steaks, tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus
    Syns: None!!

I'm a bit disappointed with the Chana Masala I've made. It's not as "saucy" as I'd like; also not as much flavour as I'd hoped. Am thinking I might add another tin of tomatoes and some chilli flakes to it to give it a bit of oomph!

I've tried to quote but it isn't working. On the subject of tooth ache, I hope this has eased for the poster If it helps my dentist told me corsodyl is first aid for teeth but only to use it sparingly I.e not daily forevermore as apparently it stains your teeth.

On the subject of PON, I follow the Facebook group and did buy the book which is lovely. the book appears very popular although some people are miffed as the book if bought from asda included exclusive bonus recipes.

I had Chana Masala tonight (bought from Sainsbury's). Had half a pack on a rather large baked potato to which I added some fried yellow peppers and onions. Also did a papodum in the microwave.

I had some crisps (cheesy poppables) earlier and having red wine now. Serious diet was due to start today but not been well :(.
