    Congratulations bubba fab achievement!

    Well done frankie

Hope those feeling not so good are much better soon xx

Busy day here for me decorating son’s bedroom and made good progress for a full day’s work. Another day’s work should see it finished ready for him to move back home after 6 months away.

    Meal plan today:
B - overnight oats (4) with 0% yogurt and mango (could only manage half so got some for tomorrow)
L - eggs, bacon & slice of wm toast HEB, satsuma
D - sw meatballs pasta, tomatoes, onions, garlic cheese HEA2
    HEA1 milk in drinks

Aware it’s lacking in speed but it was all done in between the decorating that I only stopped at 7pm, so all had to be quickly made.

Feeling a bit achy now, so off for a hot shower.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Thank you everyone...though I've now got to come in with last night's weigh in results of + 0.5lb :(

I think it's last weeks poor eating that didn't show because of having a tummy bug because I've been on plan this week.

I do a food diary and I've handed it in and my consultant said she'd let me know if anything stands out, but I'm thinking that I'll just keep going as I am and see what happens next weigh in. A bit disappointing though.

Anyway, it's spurred me on to get a note book out for a proper meal plan/food diary. Writing bits here, there and everywhere can mean I'm forgetting things. and I need to write it down as soon as (or as close to) I've eaten it. Silver linings and all that.

    Todays food:

    B: overnight oats(HEB) & frozen mixed berries
    L: chilli bacon pasta
T: JP cottage cheese, onion, ham, cheddar (HEA) & salad

Milk for hot drinks(HEA) and fruit if needed.

I might need to think about what syns to add to my meals so that I'm having some.

The first thing I'd say is do you measure your milk because if you don't that can add quite a few Syns if you go over.

You say a drizzle of honey - that too should be measured!

I'd also say that the slow roasted shoulder of lamb will probably have syns in it as it's quite a fatty joint.

It may be things like that which are slowing your losses.

    Denise

All good points, thank you. The lamb was a treat; thankfully it's not something we have often - delicious though!

Excuse the daft question but can anyone recommend the best porridge oats to buy?

I think most oats sold in a box rather than pots or sachets if measured would be a B option but I'm keen for a porridge option that's not full of sugar iyswim

    Thanks
  • Right, all read and caught up. Well done Bubbs and Frankie (although commiserations on the teeny, tiny weeny gain; that'll soon come off again). Hope those that aren't feeling well get better soon.

Flat Eric - I just buy whatever is on offer. At the moment I am eating Scotts but they are in a large box. Good for baked oats or overnight oats.

Today is going to be a tough day; we're having a 'bring and share' lunch at work so staying on plan is going to be impossible. I plan on mitigating it though, with a super on plan breakfast and dinner.

B - Weetabix minis and fruit (raspberries, strawberries and a banana)
L - Whatever people bring (I've made savoury muffins with leek, ham and cheese and coconut and jam tartlets)
    D - Omelette with salad.

    No snacks.

    Thanks

I buy Aldi oats. Just recently they've been selling Mornflake rather than own brand. Both are fine. I like coarse oats and have found branded ones too smooth.

Today I've had porage with skinny syrup so absolutely free and yummy!

    Will post menu later. :)

Frankie I did the paper food diary the first 4 weeks and handed them in, and found it really made me think about eating the right foods. So I asked for some more to continue after the 4 weeks were up. Then a friend pointed out, on the SW website (NOT the app) is a feature called Weight Loss Planner, which lets you log all your food on a daily basis and will label it Speed, P, HE, how many Syns, etc. You can also log your Activity if you want to. I have been doing that ever since, on my ipad. You can easily see at a glance what you have consumed during the day, and in the evening how many Syns you have left 😉😎. It works better for me than the random sheets of paper. HTHS.
