Reporting a 3lbs loss after this week’s WI 👍, getting my 3 stone award and SOTW at group :D. It helped it was pretty quiet I guess ;). Afterwards trip to Tesco, getting my 3 for £1 veg and stocking up on the 3 for £3 Skyr, and another free Fage yogurt via COS. Also bought some beef and pork 5% mince; want to make the SW doner kebab recipe later this week. Never had a kebab in my life but figured it is worth trying. Will probably make 2 loaves and freeze one. Anyone on here tried the recipe? Found it on the SW website.

That's a great loss. Well done!:T And both your awards. What a day!:D

Sorry, I've never had a kebab either, well not the doner sort. Has to be worth a try though.:)

I've got some 20% off vouchers for Tesco (£40 spend). I know I need to go there to stock up on stock cubes (excuse pun:o) but was wondering what else I might get to use them. I think I'll buy in some meat and fish as not too much in the freezer. :o

Maman assuming you mean the red wine and white wine stockpots! They do loads of different flavours now but haven't tried them all yet. They do a mediterrean one which might be worth a try.

If you use quark their own brand one is really good and very thick. The 0% fat greek yoghurt is also good and thick.

I don't buy much meat in there as we have a local butcher which I prefer but do buy the 5% mince as it's leaner than my butchers "lean" mince, which looks to be about 10%.

Some of their fish is quite good too particularly if you are buying whole fish like salmon - which they'll prepare how you want it. I usually just have it boned and bring home 2 sides which I then portion myself and freeze.

Might be worth having a look on MySupermarket for the offers they've got on at the moment.

Well bit of a wobble yesterday.....glad 3 weeks before next bank holiday invasion.:j

Not sure if any of you have Home Bargains close, but got a Fry Light One Spray B Q Grill - it really has a garlic and mild chili kick in it, ideal for adding to mushrooms, but a little on the careful side as really strong. Well worth a try.

Thanks for the tips Denise and vegastare .

Yes, it is the wine stockpots. I'll have to make sure I go to a large branch that has a fishmonger.

I bought frylight last week in Home Bargains but didn't see any new flavours. I buy tinned pulses there and pickled cabbage.

Be sure to have plenty of Speed vegastare . It'll help. :D

I've given up on tinned pulses and cook dried ones myself in the pressure cooker. Saves a fortune as we eat them quite often.

Managed to get hold of a 10 bean mix last week but haven't tried it yet. Think it will be great for the mixed bean goulash I make fairly often.

Thanks for new chart Chrisv. Onwards and downwards to the next challenge ;).

Tonight I tried a (new for me) SW recipe; Curried chicken and cauliflower bake. Turned out tasty and has been added to list of favourites. In case anyone else wants to try it...

    Ingredients

1 large cauliflower, broken into florets
    2 tbsp tikka curry powder
8 skinless and boneless chicken thighs
400g red and yellow cherry tomatoes, halved
    200g baby leaf spinach

    Method

    Preheat your oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/gas 6.
Cook the cauliflower florets in a saucepan of boiling water over a high heat for 5 minutes, or until just tender. Drain well.
Meanwhile, mix the curry powder and 3 tbsp water in a shallow dish to make a smooth paste. Make a few slashes in each chicken thigh, add to the paste and toss to coat evenly. Arrange the chicken thighs in a large roasting tin sprayed with low-calorie cooking spray.
Toss the cauliflower with any remaining curry paste to coat the florets lightly and add to the tin around the chicken thighs. Season lightly, spray with low-calorie cooking spray and roast for 10 minutes. Scatter over the tomatoes and cook for a further 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
Just before the end of the cooking time, place the spinach in a large colander over the sink and wilt it by pouring over a kettle of boiling water. Drain well, add to the chicken and cauliflower and serve hot.
