TIE if everything is bloating you there could be an underlying problem like gluten or dairy intolerance etc. Might be worth a word with your GP.

WI Day today been determined all week had only syns that was in my food and that was 6 syns in the stuffed Romano peppers I tried on slimming world recipe and YUK! It was. Never to be repeated. Lots of speed veg lots of speed fruit. Got a flow going now setting my target of 10.5 may change that to 10 on the lower end of my BMI allowance when I get to it. Noticing some of my clothes getting too large for me and making me smile!
  • Life has overtaken me badly and not doing that great SW wise. However, put my best foot forward on Friday so hopefully things will be more positive.

Decided to do the Cancer Research night marathon walk, then realised that I am already committed to something that night, however have not let that bother me. I am going to use it as a target to keep me focused and will donate £10 for every lb lost, that should should keep me on track.

I also, joy of joys, have ringworm under my arm. No idea how I picked it up, but suspect that I may have had it for months without realising it. I did notice a red patch when I got back from Egypt, but as I had no pain or itchiness, forgot about it, until last week. Slapped on hair removal cream and almost went through the roof, knew it wasn't the cream as I have used it before, so it was washed straight off and then saw the classic sign. I grew up on a farm and we used to treat it by slapping paint on it, drew the line at that! Currently using the obligatory cream, but was wondering if this has been having a knock on affect for the last couple of months, my body fighting an infection in preference, rightly, to helping weight loss?

Chris, could you put me down for 7lbs loss for next challenge please?

I’m intolerant to several things so avoid those foods, seem to becoming intolerant to foods I was ok with now. Potatoes is one and possibly tomato (please no!). GP not really interested, just say avoid the foods :(.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

My DD2 has to avoid fresh tomatoes but she's OK with tinned. Potatoes was another of the things she used to have to avoid but is now OK with them. She still has problems if she has too many onions/garlic so has also had to cut back on that.

I know I'd struggle without onions & tomatoes!

Your GP doesn't sound very helpful. Is there not another GP you could see or is it a one man practice?

Quick question: does anyone feel the urge to eat more/overeat when they haven’t had breakfast? I’m not a great eater of a morning and eat quite lightly through the day when at work but make up for it in the evening, seems it takes my stomach a few hours to catch up with me in the morning. I’ve got awful IBS but the SW diet helps alleviate the symptoms massively, I’ve been trying to eat more in the morning other than fruit, any advice?

I'm not good at eating breakfast. I simply cannot force anything down until I've been up and about for several hours, and had several hot drinks. I tend to start to feel hungry around 11am+, sometimes not until mid-day. I am fortunate that I can eat at my desk at work, but when I'm really busy (most days) I have little time to think about making anything like porridge, and oftentimes I've made it and then been too busy to actually eat it! What I tend to do now is have pieces of fruit that tide me over nicely until lunchtime at 1pm, so I will tend to have maybe one or two of: banana, nectarine, apple, satsuma, something like that,

If you feel hungrier in the evening why not plan your meals & snacks around what suits you best? So long as it's worked into the plan, you stay in control. Fortunately I find if I have a decent sized evening meal I don't tend to go looking for snacks later on. I tend to save my HEXB just in case I'm peckish between meals, especially once at home after work to have some ryvita or even small bowl of cereal, which are more filling than a piece of fruit can be sometimes.

Well we've not really done anything this bank holiday weekend, but at least we are fully rested.

    Meal plan today:
Brunch (as we got up late) - salad leaves with savoury rice, LO roast chicken, dressing (2); 0% greek yogurt with passion fruit, mango, strawberries & banana (couldn't eat it all so about 1/3 left in the fridge for late)
D - LO roast chicken, SW chips, lettuce, cucumbr, pickled onions, tomatoes, dressing (2)
syns - americano coffee with whole milk (4)
    HEA - milk in tea/coffee
HEB - not had one today
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Interesting to know different people's views.
    I'm just greedy.
My only symptoms of the menopause is lack of periods and the occasional hot flush, which to be honest is welcome as I'm normally freezing cold.
I am greedy though:rotfl::rotfl: my periods just stopped no winding down, had one one month not had another for about 5 years, so i was about 46 , i have the occasional flush and that's usually about 7-8pm apart from that no other symptoms :T:T
