Hello all! Chuffed to report a 1.5lb loss this week please Chris! That makes 5/10lb for the challenge overall (:o) and I'm still 2lbs off my first stone, but I'm pleased with how consistently I've kept at it since new year.

For the next challenge I'll try for 10lb again (:o) - that would get me my Club 10 award which would be ace. Thanks Chris!

I've just booked myself a holiday in August too so that's providing good incentive. 16 weeks to go.

I feel that T3sc0 are trying to sabotage me as they seem to have discontinued my fave sweet and smoky shredded beetroot which I loved in a salad mixed with grated carrot :( AND my local store seems to have stopped stocking the plain fat free fromage frais that I use in carbonara. So that's two go-to SW foods ruined :( I did try quark again this week in a ham, leek and pea pasta thing and it was nicer than I remembered so maybe I'll switch.

Well that's all I have to say I think. Have a good bank hol everyone (blowing a hoolie here!), hugs all round. I'm off to do a food shop. xxx

Tete I don't use anything creamy when I make carbonara I just stir through beaten eggs with some grated parmason stirred through it. Just stir it through the pasta, bacon & mushrooms once taken off the heat. Just don't do it with the pasta on the heat otherwise the eggs will scramble!

Checking in and feeling disappointed with a half pound gain. Last week I was determined to lose 1.5 lbs to get my 1.5 stone award but it wasn’t to be.

Didn’t do anything terrible and got my bike out and went for a few miles ride but that obviously didn’t help. :(

Don't be too disheartened Pennylane. It may be that your efforts this week show up next week with a good loss.

Just checking in to say hello to you all. Weather has been mental here today. Very windy, one minute lovely sunshine and blue skies, the next it's thrashing it down with hail and then torrential rain.

Had some bad news today that my friend's mum has died. She'd been unwell recently, but I'd only seen her in March, and didn't anticipate she would take such a bad turn for the worse. Friend is other side of the country, so not easy to be at hand to offer practical support. Puts things into perspective though.

Having a quiet day at home today snuggling with the cat. Tried to venture outside but neither
of us (me or the cat) thought it worthwhile battling hail in the garden!!

    Meal plan today:
    B - nectarine & FF passion fruit yogurt (1.5)
L - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, beans, wm bread HEB, ketchup (1)
snack - 0% greek yogurt, strawberries & mango
    D - HM bolognese & pasta. Parmesan HEA1
    HEA2 milk in tea/coffee

Keeping some syns in the bank today just in case I was over with yesterday's lunch.

Tete, just been in store and they now do something called Love Beets. They do different flavours including sweet & smoky shredded beetroot 50p dearer of course but same weight. Still no red slaw though :(

Ah thanks TIE. They don't seem to have that one in my local or the big one nearby, though all the Love Beets stuff had been rolled out which was why I surmised my stuff has been discontinued. They had the whole ones and some spicy type in cubes I think but it's not the same - I like the grated! I'll keep an eye out and maybe I can petition for it to be stocked. It's a minor thing to be so disgruntled about but I just found it so tasty and it was so convenient, ready prepped like that, I didn't end up with purple hands and kitchen, AND it's speed :(

Thanks for the carbonara tips Denise, I never normally use parmesan in mine so I'll give that a try. I make such a b@stardised version of it, please don't tell the Italians on me!

Speaking of parmesan - I'm having a go at this recipe for tea :)

Sorry to hear your news Sary, snuggling with cat sounds perfect for this weather and is what I'm going to do tonight :D

Have to admit I've never tried the instant mash instead of breadcrumbs. I have tried fine polenta and that works quite well too but don't bother any more because you have to syn it now but didn't use to have to - same with instant mash! I just use half my HEB wholemeal bread. It's something I ought to put back on my menu as haven't done it for a long time but will have to wait until after my holiday now as meal plan done until we go away!

    Today's plan:

B - fry up - sausage, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers & beans
L - smoked salmon & cream cheese bagel thin - HEB + 2 (have synned as 25g but will check how much I actually use and syn accordingly!)
D - Eating out at Chapter One so no idea on Syns at the moment

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bagel thin
Syns - Philly light 2; wine 15 plus meal syns

Going to have to be a lot of damage limitation next week!!!!

    Denise
I know it's synned but i lost my weight eating it when it wasn't so i carry on as i did, the rebel in me, don't syn yoghurt or spaghetti either:eek::rotfl::rotfl:
    But i don't have 2 hexa either
