    Has anyone tried this program?

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/freefilesync/

I have come across its portable version yesterday from here:

    http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1475

Have to say that so far it's been quite impressive. I may start using it instead of my usual DSynchonise but wondered if anyone else has had any experience with it.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

    Iconic
    I use Contribute.
This means all new files and updates on the left move to the right (To Backup, in my case).
    Nothing travels the other way.
What option have you been using?

Its an SOP that whenever you have an important document stored in your system Backing up is a must. For me my best back up is my email. I send photos and documents too.

In the past i've used Acronis TrueImage 100% of the time, just clone the HDD of your choice and Bingo!! an exact replica. I'm not a fan of their latest version which has redesigned the interface and made it Vista-Esque and hard to find things.

I've used Norton Ghost which is decent, but as with all things Norton/Symantec it used a whole lot of resources and starts numerous services in the Windows repository.

I've been using the Backup tool in Vista, and so far its been pretty damn good, apart from the first backup which took an eternity, the incrementals won't take as long.

That said, if Vista offered a "Clone Disk" option like Acronis does, and thats why i love Acronis!, then it would be even better.
