  • Is it usual that they don’t pay the costs ordered by the court until you force them to ?
  • How will the court enforcement officers get to collect the money when all they have is a P.O. Box in Liverpool & an automated payment telephone line in Nottingham to go off

Anyone can trace the owner of a PO Box, especially the courts.

Just wait for the court to respond to you
  • I went this afternoon to the court with the paperwork at 3.30pm, they can only take payment up til 3pm !! - they stuck it in a box & said they’d ring for card payment tomorrow.

Got home & civil enforcement replied to my email (at 4-45pm) of 4 days ago saying that their finance department was on annual leave until today so there was nobody to sign a cheque & it will be in the post tomorrow.

I replied it might be too late if the court have auctioned the warrant of control !!

You've missed their lunch and coffee breaks! :)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • I know all about them I sat there rim 9-30am til 2-30pm on the day of my case then another 1/2 hr after we gave our cases - all for £95 loss of earnings (based on 1980’s day rates !
  • And today closure - civil enforcement have sent the cheque to me for court costs headed up as “refund”

I think I will buy a piece of land, install anpr cameras & a billing computer & retire by getting a job in the local court, that way I could be my own council if anyone contests !!!!

Anyway I got the right result after months of hard work & sleepless nights ——- THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED ME IN THE PROCESS

Hi, did they have to pay the £77 fee back to you too, I'm in the same situation waiting for my costs.
