Of course they know what they're doing - it's a numbers game. ;)

    Spot on.

Mass mailings, mass threats...all for something like 30p per letter.

Circa 40% pay up with no quibble...happy days. Money for nothing.

Then slap on charges and issue court papers [cost circa £30]...if one or two in ten pays up they break even on the court process...after that its major payday.

Another 3 wins at Newcastle airport at South Shields County Court. I was helping with one case and submitted a skeleton. There were two other cases and judge decided to hear all three together. He used our skeleton to rule on all three - that there was no proof of contract between UKPP and Newcastle Airport and dismissed them all.

Time for a complaint to the DVLA that a Judge finding that UKPPO had no proof of contract, they had accessed personal data without reasonable cause.

The judgment could also pave the way for hefty GDPR/DPA claims against UKPPO. There really has to be punitive consequences to make PPCs think twice before simply offloading their unpaid PCNs to roboclaim solicitors for indiscriminate pursuit through the courts.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • The group are already talking about putting a collective complaint about misuse of data.

Just sent you a PM - are you willing to share your successful skeleton argument and any other advice with the group? Thanks
  • I'm in tomorrow at middlesbrough using the byelaws argument haven't done as much work on WS as some people
  • Good luck tomorrow Armitch.

Perhaps a list of all struck out claims with case numbers and judge’s names would be useful in defences and witness statements for any pending or future cases.

Beware not to take this to private message. The poster you are addressing is new and unknown, and some pretty unsavoury and aggressive characters pop up here sometimes.

Not saying the poster is. Hard to tell but I was just noticing that this 'newbie' has appeared and talked about 'helping with one case' and 'writing a skeleton' which reminds me of other posters in the past and certainly doesn't smack of 'newbieness'.

He/she also seems to want us to believe they know a lot about Scottish cases, which again reminds me of another poster and certainly is not someone who is new to the game IMHO:

If Old Slobberchops is a genuine victim helping others, or a relative or friend of a Defendant (and not here touting for business or for any other reason) then he/she won't mind showing their witness statement in full on this thread, we hope, and not by pm.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the concern we are equally cautious and also have a group email and extra security questions we ask before adding new members to the group.
