Oooh this is fab !!
First i made toffee vodka. Then mars bar vodka. Followed by Rhubarb and custard vodka and my latest has been drumstick lolly vodka.
Toffee is yummy but does need putting in the freezer
Mars bar is very sickly i mixed it with some toffee vodka and its better now
Rhubard and custard is sweet and strong ! Going to mix with lemonade
Drumstick needs shaking as it splits. But really tastes like the lolliesfurrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -
Made toffee vodka, Xmas pud vodka, and Cranberry and Rasberry vodka last night. Tip to myself for the future - try get hold of containers bigger than the amount you want to make so that all the ingredients fit in!
Also in my head making homemade stuff was going to be a relatively cheap option - I was wrong. Agter buying bottles, vodka, and other ingredients I spent a fair amount. On the plus side they semll amazing!:A :A :A :A

Well, I've tried it mmmmm! I left it for what seemed like ages, until all the toffees completely dissolved and it was no longer separating, and didn't stink of neat vodka. I didn't need to put it in freezer, just served chilled from fridge. I just wish, now that I had made more of it, but thanks folks, I did enjoy.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0

We've made the toffee vodka. This afternoon it looked ready so we had a very small sip. I think your suppose to add just ice, but it may be too strong for me, so I may add some coke too. :beer:Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker0

I just found myself with 1/5th of a bottle of cheap vodka floating about (it's been hanging around for over 3 months and I can't see me using it).
And last weekend I bought a pack of Cadbury's mis-shaped chocs, which when I opened the pack turned out to be mainly chocolate covered caramels, which I daren't eat in case they rip out fillings.
So I just sat here and chopped the sweets in half and shoved them in the vodka I had. Did it until there were so many sweets in the vodka that they were only just covered.
Bunged it in the fridge .... so here's hoping0 -

couple of suggestions.
1) they will take time to dissolve... i did a terrys chocolate orange one and it took ages. Shaking will speed it up - leave it by the kettle, everytime you pass, give it a shake.
2) make sure the lid is tightened securely, then lower the bottle into a bowl of hot water (from the hot water tap will do). the heat will help melt the chocolate. The only thing to be wary of is that you can get a layer of fat from the chocolate floating to the top that looks rather unappetising. If that happens, do the hot water thing again. and KEEP SHAKING.
