Some days it feels like things are falling together and other days they are falling apart.

Sorry to be dramatic! Sister is having some problems - more than normal.

And today I can't see how I can have any kind of life separate to this.
    Still on with stuff.

beanielou - thanks, i find it's good to be balanced, and i have asked for female perspectives on things, and its always interesting getting a different POV.

re the online dating guy buffy, in my experience, and it works both ways (i've had nightmares with ladies!)

i talk, chat, message etc for few weeks, and that tends to weed out the messers who seem to want to meet ASAP and be a lil tooo keen... of course thats not to say if meeting asap is what you both want then go for it (i have met and had enjoyable times pretty quickly!, even if it was just that and we both knew it wasnt a long term thing), coz if someone will text you every day (morning eg, or on breaks etc), that shows they are keen, and likewise, if i send a message in them times, and i don't get a reply for a day, then that speaks volumes too.

i'm big on manners n stuff (especially in this online / throwaway world), and yes everyone is busy, but also imo, everyone has 30s in a day to at least say "hey, i got your message, but i was x y or z busy".

those that seem to go days without contact, well they are ones best avoided. if they are that distant in beginning, welllll....

so yea slowly tends to work best, you being a woman, WILL get attention from the guys wanting a hook-up. sorry if that sounds sexist a lil, but women do hold more power / get more attention / first moves put on them then men ever do (unless the guys look like some gym bunny, love island type), i guess its just how we were programmed on a basic level.

but likewise, if you get messages etc from another guy whilst one is going ok, tell the other new guy, its soul destroying, to get on with a girl, only for basically her to be like "well out of the 10 guys i was talking to, only one made it to the final" to use a bit of talent show analogy! whatever happened to one on one focus, seems online dating means people can talk to lots at same time, which means, as i say, only one guy will "win", and the others get a rejection text, or even worse, just a "ghosting" (total no contact with no explanation as to why).

    my 2p worth.

oh and on the flat roof front for the pets, easy, a flat roof is rarely ever actually "flat" as in 0 degrees. they usually have a lil lean to them, not triangular like a house roof, which is what i think your trying to do, but they do have an angle for run off, just like a bath is never level (else the water would pool in the middle and wouldnt run towards the plug hole end! so under one end of the flat roof, just put a lil block to raise its angle it to one end, it doesnt need to be much and you can test / readjust if needed. :)

    hope that helps!

I have been online dating for a while thanks ;) I still think it is grim but my friends insist on me keeping a profile so I do. And answer all the messages and I am always polite, you do find yourself having some hilarious conversations!

I did all my errands, spent too much but solved the roof problem which is good.

D ick has been in touch, so has the online guy. Bizarre! I have ended up switching the phone off for a bit.

Need to remember that I paid for the lights for the fish tank on the CC (!) I only get to the shop once in a blue moon and it wasn't in the budget. If there is actually a budget.

Unfortunately I have to cook dinner so can't get on with much. Might attempt a cupboard sorting whilst I am there. Although dinner is stir fry so maybe not!

I did some angry tidying. Yours sounds good Pooky :)

It didn't work out well. I just don't know what to do with it all. Mum has the hairdresser coming tomorrow and I could just sob with frustration.

Also the light unit on my fish tank has blown. well popped. Any how they are sealed unit and it is quite old (ten year plus so fair play) and costs 200 pounds to replace! So yeah the fish are in the dark and I am going to have to return the bulbs I bought... ugh.

I am going out to watch the football. Sod it. ALL.

    And then my team lost.

And!! I have woken up today with a headache...

I think it might be caused by the hair dying. Am a bit worried. I shall google and discover that actually I am dying...

Nope, i am not, none of the symptoms mention headaches. Good.
