    Hi All,
bit of a lurker here on MSE, but i've been popping in on this thread for a while now.
I work part time and wondered if Avon might suit me. I think i'd like to start with family and friends until i get used to it all, but i've just moved to a new area ( Stafford) and this might be a good way of meeting people.

you all seem to be very friendly and knowledgable and wondered if anyone is near to Stafford that might want to sign me up or offer advice as to what Avon is like in this area.

    thanks in advance!

My Avon order arrived today. All correct and only one substitution.

Then just as I was feeling like its Christmas I get a phone call from a potential customer asking why I haven't collected her book. I ask her where she is and then my mobile dies (the battery was low). I plugged it into the wall within 1 minute but she didn't call back and her number didn't show up on my screen. So she probably thinks I'm useless but there's not much I can do. I'm delivering some orders tonight so I can try and see if its a couple of houses which I think were on hols and didn't put the book out, but if she's in one of the streets I've only just newly canvassed, I doubt I'll find her. Grrrrrr.

The good news is that a friend has agreed to do an Avon party for me in the summer. I have my first Avon party coming up in a couple of weeks which I'm doing for some friends, so will let you all know how that goes.

I hope you can find who it was, that happened to me the other week but luckly I was able to find the customers number in my received calls.

    Good luck!

I've only just started as a trainne sales leader but basically you recruit people by asking everyone you know, asking customers you wouldn't mind losing (don't ask your best customers!) doing brochure drops with expired brochures, asking people in the street, advertising anywhere you can. There are lots of ways really :)

Once you have found people that are interested, you sign them up, provide them with brochures and order forms for their first two campaigns (you get this refunded) Train and mentor them so they know what they are doing and just be there to help them whenever they need it.

I've only got two reps so far but i'm loving it :D If you are interested in becoming a SL ask your SL or ASM (whoever signed you up) for some info.

Thanks so much, I think i might enquire about signing up :D

Reps have to be over 18.

You have to be 18 to be a Rep, I used to help my mum do Avon when I was about 15 - 16 and my mum forever complained that even though it was me doing all the work, if I had any problems she had to contact Avon and she didnt know what was going on then

I'll be joining you guys for campaign 9! :D

I telephoned the rep for the adjoining estate to mine and she was really lovely. I told her all about this thread though so I guess I'd better say that! Lol. No, she was really helpful, gave me loads of tips and said she'd get in touch with her manager asap to get me started on the next campaign.

Exciting stuff, this thread's been soooo helpful thanks people.
