So you dont get credited untill you place your next order?
You could just write it down on a piece of paper
As soon as you place your order it will credit your account straight away0 -
Random question - do you think the starter pack is worth it?Debts: Gym £[strike]465.75[/strike] Student account [strike]£1039.88[/strike] Overdraft [strike]£129.00[/strike] Credit Card [strike]£2772.22[/strike] Loan [strike]£6222.01 [/strike]

Thanks guys
I'm off to sign my 2nd rep now, I set myself a mission to find a rep on a certain road that my ASM said was empty and I found one within a day, I must have beginners luck at all this!!
Two down, three to go!!
Ovetta - I would suggest selling to friends/family/work colleagues and your territory. Also try local businesses, ask if you can leave a brochure if the local hairdressers, sunbed shop, newsagent etc.
Hayleys little tip: Personally (and this is just how I do it and we've all got to do it how it works best for us) I wouldn't push books through peoples doors, i've only done two campaigns and i've probably lost about 30 books this way. So now I knock and ask if they would like to see a brochure, makes much better use of your books IMHO.
Ok must go so i'm not late for my new rep xx
well done on getting new reps hayley.
just an addition to your 'hayleys little tip' that might help someove. ime a rep in my own road and five others around, so majority of my customers are my neighbours. as i dont want to bother them if they are not interested, i enclosed a note with my first book to them saying hello, ime karen, and new rep to area, have a browse through book but if they would prefer not to receive it in future, please mark at bottom of note. i found this worked really well and got books back. it took a few books to complete, but i whittled my customer base down to 180 that regularly order and i dont upset the neighbours that arent interested. i dont tend to door knock as you can never guarantee people in, but my customers now leave books out for me. they know i will be collecting book at sometime that day. it then takes 15 mins to collect instead of two hours while i chat. i do the chatting when i deliver parcels.
hope this helps someone0 -

Thanks hun, lets just hope I can get some more
This is a good tip, I think I will do this on campaign 9, I do have a lot of houses where I haven't had an answer but when I just put books through the door in camp 7 (on different streets) there were so many I didn't get back and I don't want to have to pay for loads of books.
Fantastic weather for posting Avon books though:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

I would say yes - the bag is really good quality and so good for carrying your books and things in, it looks really professional, mine also now doubles up as a bag for my laptop
I got a full sized bottle of Christian Lacroix perfume, a glazewear lipstick, loads of samples, some order forms and some paper bags.
You don't pay for it all at once as well so that's quite good too.
HTH hun xx:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

The starter pack is defo worth it, those Christian Lacroix perfumes seem to be selling like crazy for me, so if you sell that on that you get with it, you've already made your money back.
Even if you don't sell that on, you still getting all the samples which are very big essensials to selling loadsss of products!

I think the starter pack is worth it for the bag itself and all the samples. The perfume is a bonus.0

I am considering joining Avon. I currently do party plan in the evenings and from that have built up a large circle of friends. I have most days free as I work mainly in the evenings so I will see how it goes. The AM is coming to see me on monday so the information I have found on this thread has been really helpful.
One question I do have. Is it difficult to become a sales leader. I have my own team in the partyplan but is it worth doing with Avon and do I need to have a large team to qualify?Apr wins - £70 :jMay Wins - £350 :T June wins - £579
July Wins - £1772  Aug Wins - Benecol Bag, Clynol Goodies, James Bond Ltd Edt poster, Another Nokia 5800, 2 x mars dvds, Pentel pen, Avon Lipstick X 2, Cadillac Records CD and DVD, Bourjois lipgloss & sungalsses, Pink Panther 2 dvd, audiobooks, Miraclegro liquafeed, Ice age 3 goodies0 -
Hi everyone, great thread!
I'd love to know if people think Avon can provide a small but reliable income? By that I mean, does it tend to pay similar amounts once you get into it?
I'd like to set up as a freelance typist but don't want to rush into anything too quickly. I thought selling Avon might be good experience for me and an opportunity to see how well I manage as self-employed. I could always combine the two later on if things go well.
I'm concerned about the income side of things because I'd have to register as self-employed and make a whole new housing benefit claim (I'm a lone parent). So I would need to have a realistic amount of projected earned income to declare on it.
I know we're only talking about earning £20 a week here but being on benefits, every penny is something to worry about.0 -
