We try and have two books running but keep each street on the same book otherwise it gets too confusing

    Thanks guys :)

I think I will keep two books going, but keep each street on one book. I'm really quite organised but my spreadsheets are looking really confusing at the mo!

    Hope everyone's having a great weekend :)

All the tips on here are great. I was just thinking about buying job lots on ebay because they seem to be going really cheap, then putting a leaflet in with my next lot of brochures offering a free mystery gift with orders over £15.

does anyone know anything about tax and Avon, I was thinking about doing mystery shopping, but if I register as self employed? I would have to declare Avon?

just wondering, sorry if this has beenasked before

Its best to notify the tax office as Avon is classed as income, esp as your already working, although you may not be earning bundles of money if your already paying tax, then unless your in the top earners bracket, think in 22%, but as self employed as with mystery shopping, I think it is only on pure profit, so you can take out expenses, would be best to contact tax office and they can put you in the right direction. x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    :o right,

I have been an Avon rep for a while but havne't made any money except for christmas 2005:o I have been reading this thread I have a list of ideas but haven't done anything big regarding Avon.

So one of the reps in my area has dropped off and I can probably take her territory since work don't really like me to do avon at work I never make enough to get comission.

So my problem is if I expand my area I will hopefully make money - a profit so what do I do about registering for Tax? do I say I have been a rep but made no money or do I say I only just started?

I am really worried that I will have to pay lots or some kind of fine?

    can some one help?

    thanks

    Buffyxx

I read on another Avon site that technically you are not earning commission off Avon, they are giving you a discount, they were saying this as though you don't have to register? Unless you are a Sales Leader then you do have to register. I'm not sure what to suggest though sorry, I don't like tax, it's too confusing!!

thats interesting Hayley...... I wonder if its right, cos my AM never told me I had to register and I can't find anything on the website to say how you do it etc.

I am just a little panicked, as is my habit. All because I wanted to do Mystery shopping!!!
    cheers tho Hayley xx

No my AM never mentioned it to me either. I have also read, on this site I think, that the amount you earn as a rep is too low anyway....but I'm not to sure, best thing to be 100% would be ring the tax office to find out. :)
