Yeah it took me a while to read all the pages from start to finish but it's all very interesting and helpful so worth spending some time reading through
I'm sure anybody would be happy to help you with something you can't find on the thread though.
Good luck, hope you get lots of big orders:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

right,
I have been an Avon rep for a while but havne't made any money except for christmas 2005:o I have been reading this thread I have a list of ideas but haven't done anything big regarding Avon.
So one of the reps in my area has dropped off and I can probably take her territory since work don't really like me to do avon at work I never make enough to get comission.
So my problem is if I expand my area I will hopefully make money - a profit so what do I do about registering for Tax? do I say I have been a rep but made no money or do I say I only just started?
One step at a time, Buffy. Start by asking your ASM if you can have more territory.
You are unlikely to earn enough to pay tax on it alone but anything should be declared for tax purposes. If you have a regular job too then tax is a more direct factor to consider.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. hello, thanks
I e mailed her ages ago to ask, but she didn't answer, then last week she wrote and told me about more space being right near me and i said I would be interested. I do have a fully time job too.
I am going to have to register aren't I?
xxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
I'm already registered self-employed - but don't earn much! - so I'm just going to keep my Avon income and outgoings on a spreadsheet. Should be easy enough.
Samples, brochures etc all count as business expenses, and if you use the internet for ordering etc, you can claim that as an expense. If your self-employed earning are under £15k (I think), you don't need to have an accountant or keep books. A simple spreadsheet and your Avon invoices would be enough I'm sure. *Note that I'm not an accountant or a tax man so this is just my opinion.*
So I doubt an ordinary rep will end up paying any or much tax at all. I would think you need to be making Presidents Club for the income to be significant.0 -
I've just put my campaign 8 order in and ended with £157 of customer orders. Didn't get a lot of the books back yesterday. I suspect bank holiday is not the best time to catch people!
My goal for campaign 9 is to try and beat this, plus try and sell at least 5 pro-to-go lipsticks so I'm going to do a leaflet highlighting them to put into the books.
I also think I'd like to do sales leadership but how is the best way to find new reps?0 -

Hi Winewhisky, glad you reached the MOV for the higher commission :T
I'm doing a promotion on Pro To Go Lipsticks, for each person that buys one, they get entered into a prize draw to win an Anew Eye Lift, I ordered the pack of 5 lipsticks out of Hello Tomorrow and got the Eye Lift free so I don't have to buy one. I've ordered some free (apart from p&p) postcards from vistaprint and i'm going to staple one of the pro to go lipstick samples on each one and give them to my customers (about 26 customers i think) I'm hoping the sample, along with the prize draw will encourage people to buy one! I've already sold one anyway coz my best friends going to buy one :T
I didn't get lots of my books this weekend either, I know at least three of them said they were going to order but I just oculdn't get an answer when I went roundHopefully they will order in the next campaign.
I'm a trainee sales leader, going out with my ASM tomorrow to learn how to do things and hopefully get some people signed up! I will let you know what tips I pick up from her.
I do know that people go round to schools/nurseries/slimming clubs etc and ask people there, or ask people in supermarkets, do brochure drops with old brochures and prospecting cards, knock on peoples doors and ask them, put cards through peoples doors, put ad's in papers etc. I think there's quite a few ways to try and find reps, just working out what works best for you really. Not sure which method i'm going to do, think i'll try them all at first! Think happy & you'll be happy

You add them to your order as a credit, when you confirm your order you can printoff the slip to put in the parcell, you should have a label in your paperwork that comes every month with a barcode on it, attatch that to the box and write down the barcode on the 2nd copy of the returns form and the driver will sign it0
