Sending stuff back for credits is the bane of my life.
Have four small items to send back this time. Seems daft to put in a large box.
Will the courier take it if it is sealed securely in a paper Avon bag and properly labelled or is this a no no?Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -

Jiffi bags are ok if you have any, or just wrap your items up so they dont get damaged0 -
Hi all -
New to MSE so hi to everyone!
I'm considering becoming an Avon rep in my spare time. At the moment i worka lot of hours in my current job - 50 hour weeks. But I am soon starting a new job with only 35 our weeks so i will have a bit more time on my hands! I could do with the extra cash as i've not long moved into my first house with my boyfriend and the big bills are quickly rolling in! Can you do as little or as much as you want or do you have to get minimum orders before you start earning commission? How much are the books and do you recommend starting on just one street? Does it cost much to set yourself up?
Thanks in advance

You have to get £76 in orders to qualify for commission. There is a £15 initial charge split over your first two campaigns.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Your £15 start up fee also covers the fact that you get your brochures for the first two campaigns and your order forms. You don't have to pay for the £15 up front it gets split into two and then taken out of your first two commisions. I find that it is quite easy to get to your £76 minimum order value for you to get 20% commision, then if you hit £146 (higher order value), then you get 25%.
I am on the end of my second campaign and my first campaign came in at £160ish and this one looks like it is going to come in at about £240.
When you get up and running you can always ask your Sales Leader or Area Sales Manager for more territory, as you only get a few houses to start off with.
I have now got 6 roads, but will ask for some more for next campaign.
You can get out what you put into it although from just repping you probably couldn't earn a full time wage.
I am hoping to become an SL when I have got all the territory that I want up and running properly.
You also have to pay for the brochures from your 3rd campaign on, plus any samples, stationary you might need, eg order forms, paper bags, but these are minimal and you do get some order forms free each campaign if you order properly.
Hope that answers all your questions.0 -
ref returns: i have an avon carrier bag on the side, labelled with a bar code label and my returns book inside. as the campaign progresses, i chuck any returns in there as they come back to me. it really isnt too much of a pain if you keep on top of it. the courier that delivers, collects the parcel, so no queueing at the post office.
i know for a fact, that i have had extra customers, and orders, because they know there is no problem returning, i.e., if they want to try out two different sized bras, or two different makeup colours.Kantankrus_Mare wrote: »Sending stuff back for credits is the bane of my life.

also, in answer to your original question, i just use an avon carrier bag each time anyway, staple top then sellotape. have never had any problems.
hope this helps0 -
My mum does Avon as well, and she has some items to return.
Her courier never knocks on the door, he just leaves it on the doorstep. She keeps an eye on him but only catches him every other campaign.
Is it possible for me to return her items along with mine (if packaged and labelled separately) as my courier always knocks and waits for me to answer (he’s lovely )
She doesn’t want to go to the post office as this would involve going on her break at work and its about 5 miles to the post office!Proud to be dealing with my debts

next time your courier knocks ask him if he is able to take returns. as long as avon get it back via a courier, i cant see any problem. maybe mum could leave note for her courier on door asking him to knock, so she can ask him.my courier is very helpful and if ime out leaves boxes in garage, locks it and puts key through my letter box. very helpful and friendly.0
