Good luck Elle!
This is my second campaign and what I'm learning (from having been out tonight) is that just because you don't get an order first time around does not mean people aren't interested in the book. I plucked up courage this evening to door knock six houses where the book had been left out for me last time with no order, or I'd not managed to get the book back, and, apart from one lady, they are all interested in seeing the new book. Had a really nice chat with one of my neighbours who I don't know at all when I delivered her order too, so feeling great after my brief Avoning this evening.
I'm going to give campaign 9 a good go, try beat what I managed in my first campaign, try and get books to all of my territory, and then... later this month my ASM will be getting an email from me about sales leadership. eek.0 -
Ive just finished my second campaign and i was just wondering what the best was to go and find new customers as i have only done friends just to see if i would like it.
What do you do? Do you put a brouchure through the doors on a street or just a card or something?? I want to get a good customer base and i live in a small block of flats with lots of houses round about so i dont want to get loads of book sand then loose a lot.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

From what my AM said to me I had to do it within my frst two campaigns so I would assume you had to be new. Maybe ring the help line?Debts: Gym £[strike]465.75[/strike] Student account [strike]£1039.88[/strike] Overdraft [strike]£129.00[/strike] Credit Card [strike]£2772.22[/strike] Loan [strike]£6222.01 [/strike]

Hi Dee, I would check first with your ASM or SL about territory if you've not already done so. Personally I've found everyone very friendly about Avon where I live. Of course there are quite a few people who say they don't want to see the book, but I'm keeping a record of this in the Calling Book which is really helpful.0 -
I was also told that you had to purchase your starter kit in your first two campaigns. I am on my second and I bought it last campaign, It was really good value. I know I probably should have sold the full size products that are in there but I really liked the perfume and lipgloss, so kept them for myself!!!
I am also going to order the sample success pack this time as I tend to put samples out with my books.
Maybe next time I might go for the boost your business.
Also it is right what I have read on here. On my first order I hardly had any customers, but this time round I have had loads, even from houses I posted to first time who didn't order. I think people are more inclined to order when they have seen you a few times so they know that you are going to turn up when you say you will. I will be asking for more territory in C10 for C11 or C12 as I really want to make PC. It would be great to make it in my first year, and then carry on.
Also thinking about giving SL a go a bit later on. How hard is it to recruit, as I can be a bit shy around people I don't know?0 -
Another question that I have got if anyone can help out is would any one recommend the boost your business pack at £60? and what are the make up demonstration cards that are in the pack and also in the sampling success pack.0
-
i got the boost your business pack on my first order, i havnt used it to its full advantage yet as i plan on doing parties later on.... i wouldnt say its worth £60, but the stuff you get is useful.... even if i have used most of the brushes in it for myself! Make up demonstration cards are around a5 size and have a face on them with space where u can apply the makeup/quote the makeup used that a person likes so they can kind of build a face of what products they are good to buy... havnt used those yet either, but would be good for parties.
I would definetly recommend getting the bag though its a god send for keeping all your avon stuff together, and has a lovely mirror in it that im forever using
