We have had to blacklist one customer, the last 4 times she ordered around £40 of items when they are deliverd she inspects every item and gives about 90% of them back, cant be bothered with people like this, just a waste of our time :mad:0

I havent written in a while cos ive been feeling a bit avon demotivated
I think half the job is just getting back out there. I think i just feel like i spend my time chasing people for money and books and orders but this is the nature of the beast! My order comes again tomorrow and this always perks me up!!
Re offers. I have found that people dont take enough notice of them so i just let avon sell itself now. Im collecting sets out of HT though so im stocking up for xmas and friends birthdays but generally i think i do enough for my customers, trekking round after them all the bloomin' time! hahaha
The best part of the whole thing for me is when you get peoples orders and then you can back order and claim a freebie for yourself or whatever the offer may have been. Its sad but it makes my day! hehe xx
PMSL - I'm glad I'm not the only devious cow that does that!! I've had some lovely make-up recently thanks to camps 9 and 10 lol.
I don't blame you for not doing promos, this thread proves they're a bit of a waste of time! I'm doing two this month purely because I'm canvassing new territory and I don't want my current customers to hear about it then get narked! Also, I had a really bad camp last time so even a couple of extra orders this camp would be great.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets excited on delivery day btw - my mates think my Avon addiction is sooooo sad but how can you not get all excited about getting a box of shopping delivered to your door?! Plus, we don't have to pay for it so it's like getting to go shopping with someone else's credit card lol.
Oh btw, have you tried using those calling cards at all? I bought some last time because I'm fed up of all the chasing. I've got a customer this order who still hasn't called me about the order I tried to deliver on Friday and Saturday but hey - it's up to her to contact me really. It's an £8 order and I'd rather send it back than keep trekking down the road trying to get my £2 commission!
I've crossed a few customers off this time as well because after three brochures I've had a couple that have kept all three books but never ordered. I can't be bothered with that game.0 -

I don't blame you - I'd do the same I think.0 -
I was feeling a bit demotivated too to be honest but then i got 5 new customers which kinda perked me up a bit! im back in a slump again now tho, not quite sure why. just cant seem to get back into the swing of things at the mo0

I was feeling really demotivated too - so you are not alone. I canvassed an extra 100 houses this month and thought I would receive more orders. Lo and behold I have half my usual orders - I usually have about £350-£400 ordered but only have £265 this time round. Maybe Avon will phone me about it but as I have not had any contact since beginning I doubt it.0

Money is tight at the moment i guess people are tightening there belts0

Yeah and it is holiday season, that is what I keep thinking, but like you I am very likely to have to blacklist someone. I repeatedly have to go to this house who is only available on Monday evenings. They usually order about £16 worth of items, but it is hassle having to go there several times. I have tried carding them but to no avail. It is annoying as I guess like you there are several other things that you can be doing with your time!!!0

It certainly looks like we've all experienced similar slumps doesn't it? But like Lisa says, it is holiday season. I'm sure things will be much better as we start to approach Christmas though!0

When does it start getting busy for Christmas? I do not know which brochure usually starts showing Christmas items. Scary it is only July and we are already talking about Christmas!!0

What we do is when we get the order delivered and sorted is ring everyone (after 6 as its free calls!) to say we will be delivering on x day and the amount owing is x, this lets them know when we are going to deliver and they know to have the money ready, last night i delivered our items out of 30 orders i delivered 25, the 5 remaining we dont have a tel no. for. so will pop out tonight again and leave a calling card if they are not in.0
