sorry for all the questions this morning.
I've had a lady at work ask about the skin so soft that stops the mossies! I can only see the dry oil body spray in the soft and fresh, not a cream moisturiser, I can't get on the website at the moment so can't search, does anyone happen to know if i can order anything else for her?

    huge thanks!

  • Can anyone tell me if the avon products are tested on animals?

Im having an Avon party in 2 weeks and want to answer any questions and think this might come up. I would like to be able to say 'no' but i have never read that they arent.

Does anyone have any top avon facts i could say to make avon sound impressive. I already know that no other company sells as much perfume as avon but that is about it.

On the representative site on the hot topics section 2 weeks ago, it said that reps had been contacting Avon asking that question and they confirmed that no products are tested on animals, this has now disappeared but I can remember if defiantly stated it because I thought "that’s great to know"

Sorry I can't be of more help.

    Hi Louise :)

Have a look at the link below, it's the "about us" section of the Avon website, looks like it's got lots of info. I found a really good student press pack and it had loads of stuff in it but it's on my laptop (which has died) and I can't find it again.

P.S. I found the student pack, it's on the page below.

Who buys avon bags for their customers orders?
I know its' mean but I really want this new venture to be as profitable as possible. Am I right in thinking you can get them on Ebay for less?
    Thanks

Personally I think the avon paper bags are pretty reasonable, you get 50 from between 24p and 99p, that's not a lot really, I think you'd be hard pushed finding them cheaper on ebay. I've bought one pack of each size apart from mini and i've done 3 orders and got loads of them left.

Let us know if you do find some good ones cheaper on ebay though :D

  • Hayley, those links were brilliant! I jotted down a few interesting facts (like there are more avon ladies in britain than soldiers in the british army) and at my party im going to read them out with one fake one, and get people to guess the fake one. The first person to guess the fake one will recieve a little prize or something.
On the bag front, I defo think they are worth it because it makes the customer feel like they have a bought proper things. I know avon is obv proper but if it is in an avon bag it adds to the whole avon shopping experiance. Does that make sense? it does in my head! hehe!

  • Another party idea i had that people might like to use is as an introduction game, to get everyone warmed up etc, im going to ask my guests to introduce themselves by telling the party group their name and what item of makeup they couldnt live without and why.
I think that will be a nice way to get everyone thinking about cosmetics and also a sneaky way for me to see what everyone might be interested in! mwahaha

Ive got an avon party on the 20th and the first game im playing is very similar to yours louise as in the guests introduce each other and say something nice e.g the person to the right of me is called laura and she has really pretty eyes. Even if they dont know one another it will break the ice and make everyone feel abit loved. IYKWIM

The bags only cost less than a pound for loads from Avon and your guaranteed for them to arrive with your order. Plus they last for months.

If you bought them off Ebay wouldn’t you then have to mess about paying postage costs on top of what they cost to buy and then there might be the issue of how long they take to arrive. Also they might arrive a bit banged up in comparison to ordering them from Avon.

Personally, I'd stick to getting them from Avon as they are a bargain!
