Oh thats a good one Loony! Have you done Avon Parties before?
I've ordered quite a mish mash of products (basically the ones i like the look of) for guests to have a look at and a few things from clearance for people to buy on the day. Do you think I should have gone with a theme?
Also, the stuff on the demo section isnt in the brochure 11 (so pressume it will be in brochure 12) so my guests wont actually be able to buy it will they? Think i might have to hold a few things back until my next party or maybe just order a few full price things from the brochure-argh im spending sooo much!!!!!:happylove If you do what you've always done, you'll get where you've always got! :heartpuls0 -
Thats a great idea looney! I would love it if someone said something really nice about me!
Have you done a party before? This is my first and i have ordered loads of stuff from HT but a lot of it isnt in camp 11 (which i will be on by the time the part swings round) as it is in camp 12. May have to buy a couple of full price bits from the brochure so i actually have something to demo! Arghh ive spent soooo much!! Still, its an investment if i do more parties!
Do you have themes or do you just have a wizz over the whole brochure and have a few bits on display.
I've also ordered a few clearance things that im hoping to sell on so finegrs crossed!:happylove If you do what you've always done, you'll get where you've always got! :heartpuls0 -
just realised ive replied to the same thing twice! You can tell its been a long day at work!!!:happylove If you do what you've always done, you'll get where you've always got! :heartpuls0

Aww bless ya Louise
Some really good party ideas there guys, love the idea of listing facts about avon and putting a fake one in there. Those pages are full of useful facts aren't they? I wrote a really good party "script" and I was so impressed with it and it went and died along with my laptop
Got my order today and it's been a very busy day and I haven't even started delivering the orders yet!! Think happy & you'll be happy

I love love love it when my order comes! I've ordered about £40 worth of HT stuff to kick start my parties and set me up so i cant wait!! Mine comes on the 11th so not too long to wait-woo!
Ive managed to get 2 of the free giant beach bags this time by going through my orders and seeing if there are two items from the appropriate pages on separeate orders etc. Im going to give one to my friends mum because she always orders and then keep one for myself. Cant wait for camp 11 because im hoping to get the anew free bonus bag for my parties! Hurrah!:happylove If you do what you've always done, you'll get where you've always got! :heartpuls0 -
Hi Louise, this is my first party aswell and from the sounds of it its going to be huge!! Im having to borrow a microphone of one of my friends!!
Im looking forward to it but am really really nervous aswell. I havent gone for a theme as i couldnt decide on what to choose! Ive got a few party games planned and im doing a makeover on an older customer so i can show the benefits of the anew range.
Ive bought a load of bras from the clearence as these believe it or not are my biggest seller! Have you got plenty ideas for games? If not ive got a list that someone sent me that i can send to you.
Im doing 2 raffles one for charity and one for me to recoup some of my losses!
Im going to ask everyone to put there names on the order forms even if they dont think they will order anything as ill put them all into a bucket at the end and pick oneout to win a small prize. Maybe once they start filling them in they might go on to order something??? hope some of this helps0 -
HI Loony,
You must either have a very big lounge or be hiring somewhere out! Imjust having mine in my flat on the 15th so only having about 15 people over.
I like the idea about getting people to fill there names in for the raffle. I dont think i will charge people for the raffle cos then i'll have to do up a big basket and this is more of a practice run for my friends. Good thinking batman though that by writing their name their half way there to ordering!
I went online and found this article with about 200 diff party games. I'll see if i can find it again today and tell you where it is because i picked a few good ones off that. Some of it is very American but still worth it.
On my invites i've also put "Bring a friend who spends £15 or more and get 10% off your own order". Its cutting into my takings but it might be worth it to get a few extra customers to my customer base.
Ooohh roll on delivery so i can see what ive got!:happylove If you do what you've always done, you'll get where you've always got! :heartpuls0 -
You couldnt swing a cat in my front room so ive hired the community centre. I need to sell raffle tickets to get back my costs. Ive decided this month im not ordering anything from ht or the brochure so that i can see exactly how much i will make by doing parties. good luck with the party0

well, I just wanted to say a huge thanks to you all for your support. I went and collected my first lot of books yesterday evening, and whilst an awful lot of people had left their books out on their doorstep and no orders, i did manage to find 2 lovely ladies who love avon and want a book each time, and they will order from me now (although i've missed them for this one) and another who says its fine to post through.
I've had one order from my first 2 streets and one at work. so, not huge amounts, but ppl are at least interested! hurrah!
so now i'm waiting for my account to be activated so i can order online:)
good luck with the parties, they sound good fun.0 -
I've done something silly.
My order gets delivered on Thursday and the invocie was online this morning so I had a look at it. And me having one of my stupid days acidently ordered double of about 10 items totaling nearly an extra £50 opps.
If I sort out all the returns stuff online now, when the driver delivers the item do you think he would wait 5 mins whilst I find the items and return them there and then? Or would it have to wait until next time when I get the C10 delivery? I can't get time off work that day
