I got the account number etc online and confirmed by email when I applied but need to wait for information in the post to set up online banking and don't want to transfer money until I can see it arriving.
Not an existing savings customer with them, but I do have a mortgage there (at a lower rate than they'll be paying me interest on my savings)

Logged in and opened inside 30 seconds as all info is already pre-filled, just had to select monthly or annual interest.1

Is that normal for them?
I had read on here some had problems opening this account so tried it thinking if it had too many hoops to jump through I would just vote with me feet and go elsewhere, but was pleasantly surprised how easy and quick it was (for me) as a new customer to open the account.

Big thanks to those that reported the chit chat in the 'no chat' ToTP thread and to the mods that acted accordingly.
