Thanks both for your comments. It was indeed AR, just to confirm that it was me trying to transfer the money, and only because it was a fairly large amount. Still, I could've done without the half-hour wait on the phone though.

NatWest held a transfer back and I missed their fraud team phone call. A long wait when I called the back but.. they recognised my phone number and sent me a OTP to read back to them. They did not ask for any passcode or pin details. Instead they asked what devices I was using and my browser details and activity . They asked more general risk questions about my payee savings account and advised me they would take no further responsibility if I now authorised the transfer which is fair enough. Apart from the inconvenience I am more than happy with them.

Ford are increasing their rate initially for existing customers

As a valued customer we wanted to let you know about our upcoming rate increases:

    • On Tuesday 18th October we will be increasing the rates on our Fixed Saver 1, 2 and 5 year products to 4.3%, 4.5% and 4.55% respectively.
    • On Wednesday 19th October our Flexible Saver rate will then be increasing to 2.5%. This rate will initially be exclusive to existing customers, so you won’t see Flexible Saver on sale to new customers from this date.

Can you transfer funds directly from Al Rayan to the Santander esaver? How long does this take and will it likely trigger a phone call from Al Rayan to verify the transaction?

Yes you  can, and, it's pretty quick during weekdays,  but not so at weekends. Depending on the amount you attempt to transfer, you may trigger a call from Al Rayan. If it's both a new payee and a large amount transferred from Al Rayan, then it's highly likely to trigger a call before it's released.

How quick are payments made into Cynergy Easy Access shown in the account?

I made 2 payments (both small) over the weekend via faster payments, and neither are showing.

I know savings accounts often take longer to show deposits, but the details from Cynergy state:

If your Bank uses the 'Faster Payment' service your payment should arrive within minutes.

suggesting there isn't the usual saving account clearing delay.
Note: this is a newly opened account.
