Think she's garbled this bit... which is irrelevant to deposits by transfer from external banks:
Blue Rewards Terms & Conditions | Barclays
When working out how much you have paid into your nominated bank account, we won’t count:
- one-off internal transfers between Barclays accounts in your name, including any joint accounts or savings accounts.

(Relevant as it gives access to the Rainy Day Saver - £5000 easy access with 5% interest.)
I opened a Barclays Current Account two weeks ago. I paid in £800 by faster payment from Chase on 5 October. I then signed up for Blue Rewards, and opened the Rainy Day Saver. I then transferred a further £4200 from my Lloyds current account, also by faster payment.
Today, I received an email from Barclays telling me I haven't satisfied the criteria for paying in £800 this month.
Looking in detail at the credits in online banking, they are showing up as "Counter Credits". The code in the app is BGC.
I spoke to someone on the phone just now. She said regular payments from an external account by Standing Order do count, but ad hoc deposits by Faster Payment do not. She said the credit should be coded as "FPO".
The T&Cs say "Regular payments set up as standing orders or direct debits from your personal Barclays accounts, a Barclays Business Account or your non-Barclays accounts will count towards your qualifying amount". (The T&Cs are silent on Faster Payments in.)
I will now set up a Standing Order from Lloyds to make sure I get the £5 reward for this month (which simply offsets the fee for joining Blue Rewards).1 -
I also rang up today having made a faster payment of £800 on 10 October. I was told that I had met the conditions. She didn't know why I had been sent the email.
I think I will amend the future standing order date to end of the month to be sure once I have £800 more in the account I use for all my transfers out on 1st of the month. Not Rachmaninov

Re my earlier post on Barclays Blue. I was advised that their system had selected a random opening date, rather than the actual date. The opening date has been manually amended. Hopefully that should work. It was confirmed that transfers into the account by salary, standing order, cash, cheque or any transfers from outside of Barclays will count.0

I made 2 payments (both small) over the weekend via faster payments, and neither are showing.
I know savings accounts often take longer to show deposits, but the details from Cynergy state:
If your Bank uses the 'Faster Payment' service your payment should arrive within minutes.
suggesting there isn't the usual saving account clearing delay.
Note: this is a newly opened account.
So looks like delays at their side, maybe inundated with new accounts.
I did see a message on one of the banks websites about delays to payments due to maintenance, but can't find it again now, so may have been for Barclays instead.

The Daily Mail reporting Santander's 2.75% esaver product will be withdrawn tonight.4

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but I just noticed that the Santander e-Saver (2.75%) is being withdrawn at midnight tonight.
They say it's due to high demand, and they've always said they'd withdraw it early if there are lots of people applying, but the timing is interesting for sure (with that wave of u-turns today).
Edited to add: razord just beat me to this2 -
