    What`s a crappy mobile phone?
One that can`t download the Chase app?

I can`t imagine many savers would be putting vast amounts into an easy access account to warrant buying an un-crappy phone.
You could get a very cheap second-hand phone able to run the Chase app. The account pays 0.4% more than the next-best account. If you were saving the maximum £250,000, that's £83 more per month than the next best account. That's more than enough in one month to pay for a phone able to run the app.

The other thing is you have to open Chase`s current account to get their savings account.
    So?
My phone won't run the app. Have been looking at upgrading, So suggestions for a phone under £200 that will definitely work. Some of the cheaper phones say they are 64bit but they actually run in 32bit mode so will not work with chase.  Looking through phone specs doesn't tell you that info from what I Can see. So some suggestions very much welcome👍
You should to start a new thread with that question or risk flak for being off topic.

It would be quite useful if all the mechanics of operating accounts could also be taken to another thread, leaving this for the more useful announcements of decent rates.

Other than on this thread, where is the best place for see new rates announced?

Moneyfacts.co.uk is usually quite quick off the mark but are there any other sites?

I would have thought that Newsnow personal finance savings (breaking news) would be high on the list, but that seems not to be the case.

Savings Champion could be another option - often mentioned on R4 Money Box...

sorry to ask a silly question but I want to open a Marcus account - do I apply via the app or do I apply online and then download the app once the account is open ? thankyou
you should be able to apply online... technically, I don't think you need the app at all - certainly, i've done all my transactions with them through the website and have personally never installed their app.

That’s a revelation do tell how you bank with Chase on your pc.
