It was 0.7% yesterday when I transferred some funds to chase.
Whoop.
The market seems to be moving ever so quickly at the moment. Just when you make one decision...the goalposts move and you wonder if you should have waited. (was looking at Aldermore Double Access @ 0.95%)
I'm not "chasing rates" any more, as I was trying to simplify our finances, but you can get sucked into the rabbit hole.
Bye bye Premium Bonds. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
That was a welcome surprise.typistretired said:Marcus increased to 1.% from today 8th April but they have increased the existing account to the new rate no need to update bonus
I have just checked and my Marcus Online Savings account is showing 1%.
Their Cash ISA is paying the same rate too, 0.90% plus 0.10% bonus.
It should be noted that Marcus will be performing online maintenance over the weekend and payments in and out might not show until Monday 11th April 2022 at the latest:

Marcus definitely now 1.0%So I’ve just moved 17K back into there from Atom!Is it also worth putting in the £25K & 15K from Virgin Money Saver & Zopa too, so that there is 57K solely earning the 1.0% interest under one roof or keep the 3 accounts separate?
I’ve maxed out the Chase account already btw0 -
You still need to go to account and renew bonus so it runs for a year from today (in unlikely event rates don't change in that year) otherwise your bonus will expire on date you last renewed it.typistretired said:Marcus increased to 1.% from today 8th April but they have increased the existing account to the new rate no need to update bonus0 -
Chase:
"Your smartphone will need to run iOS 14 and above, or have access to Google Play on Android 8.1 and above. Just so you know, some devices are not supported due to hardware limitations"
What a pain. My devices are all below these levels.2 -
Already showing bonus expires 8th April 2023. With all the fast changing accounts that 0.10% bonus looks miserlySFindlay said:

Sorry I should have said bonus expires 7th March 2023 could extend to 8th March 2023 with the same bonus but not bothering yet.typistretired said:

Think you need to relook at your account! Yours appears to say will expire 7th March 2023 so 11 months time so could extend to a year from today 8th April 2023 not extend to 8th March 2023 For the 10 seconds it takes to renew rate I regularly do it anyway as we saw in recent past rates crash far quicker than they rise!!typistretired said:
