Just to confirm that I have just renewed bonus on two accounts this morning with no problem at all - so it definitely isn't a "system" problem.
And another here who was seriously considering shifting money which will now stay put. A shame it took them so long - but in fairness they were also fairly slow to decrease rates when things went the other way.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I'm just quite shocked the response has been better. When was the last time an established big bank offered the best easy access savings rate (and by quite some distance)? Maybe they are all waiting to see if the base rate increases again because they will struggle to keep offering these rates if it goes up to 0.75% and at that point we could see some overtake Virgin.0

Firstdirect years ago removed interest on its current account stating they intended to offer better savings accounts which other than their regular saver they have not done"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"1

I have access to FOUR accounts, with other providers, above that rate.
Atom : 0.75%
Tandem : 0.77%
Tesco : 0.84%
Virgin : 1.00%0
