Skipton Building Society will be increasing some of their existing variable savings rates with effect from 1st March 2022.

Full details to be published on Thursday 17th February 2022.

Has any heard of anyone other building societies and banks that are passing on the very recent interest rate?
  • I think Family BS are increasing their market tracker accounts by the full .25% from 1 March but have not said yet about other accounts. If the Market Tracker ISA goes up it will be 0.79%

They took a couple of weeks to announce them last time.

Look back on this thread for an indication of the ones you'd expect to increase them (again).

    Thanks for the update, @cx6

It would appear it is just Direct Saver and Income Bonds which have had their rates increased to 0.50%.

Apparently 650,000 savers with NS&I will stand to benefit (according to ThisIsMoney.co.uk)

They were slower to drop than many as rates fell though IIRC? Therefore they may just be echoing that on the way back up.

Hadn't logged into my FM account in a while. They somehow disabled my biometric login, and I had to type in all the login details again (arrrgggh). Still showing 0.63% as of now.

The Moneyfacts page implies that it is currently paying 0.73% not that it will be paying 0.73%.

Ford Money are usually very good at keeping their information up to date. I wonder if someone has made a typo from 0.63 to 0.73
