I agree with you that I consider Fixed savings accounts which do not allow withdrawals for x years are off topic for Easy Access Savings. Can you recommend where people should post comments regarding these x years Fixed accounts?Daliah said:
Without wanting to get further off thread topic (easy access accts), there are similar rates w/o access restrictions or balance limits.castle96 said:If you are an existing Coventry member

I am amazed that you are now nitpicking, as it was you who was fairly easy going with not mentioning that no interest gets paid unless the balance was at least £5,000, and thereby potentially misleading people who for one reason or other would have less than £5k in their account.Malchester said:
I totally agree with you but the point was that that was not what was said - '0% on anything up to £5000''10_66 said:
But it's not wrong to say it if the account doesn't have an amount in excess of £5K in it. So it's a pertinent point to raise for those who this applies to.Malchester said:

Found Investdc great and extremely userHello folks, this chat is getting a bit confusing about the difference between the offerings of Investec and Cynergy. As I understand it, both are offering easy access savings at a variable rate of 0.71% with the difference being:- With Investec you get a variable rate of 0.71% provided you have at least £5000 invested- With Cynergy you get a variable rate of 0.71% for any amount invested but after a year it drops by 0.41%So for anyone with a balance of £4999.99 or less, Investec gives you 0% whereas for the first year Cynergy gives you a variable 0.71% on any amount of £1 or over.Am I getting that right?0 -
