    I've opened 19 of these with no problems at all. Try the app or a different browser etc

    Open a new one as a higher rate comes out, old one comes to the end of its bonus etc. Opened the first one in 2014

    Me too - tried Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Safari... all 'timed out'.

    Via app and different browser, same result. I seem to remember this happening before and you have to phone for them to unlock something.

    I got that message. But when I logged into my account there it was!

    The secret would appear to be NOT to enter you NI number when applying for a new account as it processes fine then.

    I had the same issue as some of the recent posters, until I worked that out.

    I had the same issue as some of the recent posters, until I worked that out.
    Yes! Fourth time lucky and now by NOT entering my NI number that Tesco ask for, the account was opened! Tesco Bank fix your application page  (let me guess we’ve not heard of that problem before).
  • I think their system is temperamental as I applied last week and they said they needed to do checks despite me having old savings accounts open with them. The current accounts were closed a couple of weeks ago. I never heard anything from them. Applied again today message came up they were doing a check but it would not effect my credit rating. A few moments later the account was opened
