    Cynergy @ 0.66% (incl bonus 0.36% for 12 months).

  • Tesco Bank are closing their accounts soon.
I know Tesco Bank are closing their current accounts but I'm not aware that they are also closing savings accounts. Where did you read that?

Maybe my mistake.  I closed my Tesco Bank accounts a while ago though when it was limited to such a small sum.

I was thinking of ongoing rates rather than ones with initial bonuses....

12 months gives you long enough to move it elsewhere if you find a preferable rate though, and if you don't then you've not wasted the time.

Well yes, I guess so but the YBS rate just seemed a good, stable deal on an account I've held for many years.

  • So I checked back why I commented.....

Nationwide is included as the Top High Street instant access account @ 0.45% but it's limited to 3 withdrawals a year at that rate.  YBS definitely beats that surely?

Maybe, but https://moneyfacts.co.uk suggests there are 14 others that beat YBS.
Thanks, I'll add that to my list but I originally posted re. MSE..... Is there a connection?

Had a quick look and got to say am not a fan.  It includes accounts that are not exactly comparable e.g. some accounts whilst you may get instant access only pay interest on maturity so effectively are fixed term IMHO.

Yes but my High Street, and many other High Streets, does not have a YBS branch. Nationswide is, well... throughout the nation's high streets.
