I see that the Tesco Internet Saver rate has just been increased to 0.59%, incl a 12 month 0.49% bonus. And their Cash ISA rate is now increased to 0.51%, incl a 12 month 0.41% bonus.
It's a shame that you're unable to review your existing accounts ala Marcus and nudge the rate up.
    You can.
Log in. Find manage my accounts (or something like that) may be a few clicks I can't remember exactly where I found it. Include the bonus and you get 0.6%. It worked for my account that I took out a few years ago.
veryintrigued was saying it is a shame you cannot review the Tesco Bank savings rate like you can with Marcus.

à la meaning "in the manner of".

You have to open a new Tesco Bank account to get the latest rate. I have 5 dormant Tesco Bank savings accounts with useless rates and only the latest one at 0.59%. And even that is now beaten by Marcus.

Ooh, must open one now then and transfer all the funds across from my 0.59% one 🤦‍♂️😂

I wonder if someone will 🤔because, of course, it resets the bonus clock for 12 months!

0.59, then down to 0.55 and now back up to 0.60%. All within a matter of weeks and all essentially different issues of the same account ? Why do they bother ?

Another slightly strange 0.60% AER variable account from Leeds BS. Unlimited deposits, unlimited withdrawals but AER drops to 0.05% if the balance drops below £1,000, account matures/ends on November 22 2022.

Anyone getting anywhere with Charter Savings bank? Applied on line three weeks ago for their Easy Access issue 23 and sent off the identity stuff they asked for. Chased them by email but they say they can't advise by email and we have to ring them up. Haven't tried that as that normally means a painful wait. Has anyone else succeeded in opening this type of account recently?

Our last transaction with Charter was probably a couple of months ago which involved a phone query re our account.  The phone was answered quite quickly and the subsequent response which needed a paper document to be posted to us was also dealt with in just over a week if I recall correctly. .   We,ve generally found Charter  one of the more efficient organisations to deal with

Having to provide identity documents is always a show stopper if you don't already have an online account.

And even if you do it's not always accepted. I just wanted to transfer one account balance to another account with Investec recently and because it is on "another platform" I need to give all ID again. I can't as my passport has expired and I have the old type driving license with no photo card. So I cannot open another account with them even though I already have one they say. I will not be using them again once my notice is up.

Hmm - I wouldn’t say provision of identity documents is a showstopper but I can see it would delay things. And indeed, based on the feedback from the good people here, ringing them may well be the best thing to do. Although with other accounts appearing offering a smidge better interest rate, we may end up going to an institution that moves a bit quicker.
