Well it was pretty straightforward to open one, but the reviews of the mobile authenticator app look pretty dire. Hopefully it won't prove to be quite as awful as they suggest!Consumerist said:
It's always possible. As the account is Easy Access you can always move it if something better comes along.pearl123 said:. . . Could other banks also now raise their rates to match it? . . .EditMobile app required to log in.Stompa0 -
Moving mine to Tesco at 0.50% (not the 'top' current rate) as, like Skipton, they allow you to withdraw funds to more than one linked account.
Can ADD from any account too
Makes movement of money easier and smoother for me.
0.40% of that rate is a bonus, fixed for 12 months.

Might be time for your next shuffling
As an alternative, what other top interest paying easy access accounts allow you to do debit card deposits? We use the SOBS7 to make DC deposits from "you know where"! I suppose we could carry on using the SOBS7 and almost empty asap. Is it about 2 days before you can withdraw a DC deposit?

These accounts are a dying breed. Only obvious remaining one is NS&I, with terribly slow turnaround of at least 7 calendar days, and dreadful interest rate.where_are_we said:veryintrigued said:Just a reminder that the Skipton online bonus saver 7 0.5% bonus expires in five weeks.

By coincidence, this is the minimum payment into an NS&I Income Bonds account which can be made by debit card. You do need to leave a minimum £500 balance at NS&I so start with £1000 deposit then £500 in and out monthly (or should that be out then in?)A bit fiddly but may be worth your while.

I don't touch anything to do do with Bank of Ireland, anyway.

After a lucky escape several years ago, I wouldn't ever touch the PO savings accounts with a barge pole again, and if they were the last savings accounts on the planet..soulsaver said:
