Any strong feelings about Wombat (4.91% @ BOE less up to 0.5%?).

    I'm drawn to trackers.

    Not bad but just remember

    - only 1 withdrawal a month (not very prominent in information before opening)
    - slow deposits and withdrawals (next day in my experience for both)

If you do want to open the account remember they offer a £10 welcome bonus in a addition to a refer a friend offer (£10 each) for new customers who open an investment account with them (no deposit required to get the £10).

Their savings accounts are excluded from the sign up offer so make sure you open an investment account with them first before opening the savings account.

I got an email from YBS today apparently they have "new" savings accounts available.

Easy Access Saver @ 4.80%, pretty sure all they've done is change the name from Internet Saver Plus Issue x though.

For anyone who got the Metro Bank Limited Edition 5.22% that subsequently went down to 4.97%, I received a letter this morning that said it's going down to 3.95% 8th July but they are removing the 12 month restriction
Other rates are reducing as well
    The changes are effective 8/7

You don't have to have £1 there, I withdrew the whole balance on 22nd April and the account is still there.

Does the £10 bonus offer apply to their ISA as well?

Yes it does. Note the £10 bonus would also count towards your ISA allowance.

I have tried to open both a GIA and an ISA and keep getting as far as adding the nominated bank account details and get the following message, "an unknown error has occurred'

I've checked and re-checked all of my details etc., and everything is correct.

Anyone else had any difficulty? Is this maybe just a temporary problem at their end?
