Issue 1 of the Cahoot Simple Saver was 4.9% AER / 4.79% gross/monthly - August 2023.BigBlueSky said:
I thought the Cahoot one was also 5.2%. Is that one reducing too?happybagger said:I bet many of us with the 5.2 account at Santander, dropping on 20 May, also ended up getting the 5.12% cahoot one, certainly for me that's my next best at the moment. I think it likely cahoot, being part of Santander, will also drop, especially if a lot of people transfer in. That is my intention, even though I also have a 5.15% account elsewhere.
The added bonus is cahoot also has the 60 day notice-of-reduction window.
Issue 2 of the Cahoot Simple Saver was 5.12% AER / 5% gross/monthly - October 2023.
But both giving 60 days notice of a drop in rates - which hasn't happened as yet. I expected it to follow quick on the heels of the Santander Easy Access drop, but it didn't.1 -

Sunny Day saver only pays interest on the first £3,000

Ulster Loyalty Saver still offering 5.2% on balances £5,000 and over I believe0

I will be withdrawing on 20 May. Looks like I've got a few other 5.2% (Ulster, DF, Coventry Triple, two Sunny Cahoots) at the moment, but all of them might drop their rates soon, you never know. I have plenty of 5%+ as a back up.. we'll see what the picture is on 20th May, it might be that Skipton tracker ends up to be a winner. I also keep £1k (min requirement to keep it open) in Mansfield 90 days' notice tracker - this pays BoE rate and has no end.happybagger said:I bet many of us with the 5.2 account at Santander, dropping on 20 May, also ended up getting the 5.12% cahoot one, certainly for me that's my next best at the moment. I did get the Cahoot account, also the Beehive limited issue easy access at 5.20 which looks like being useful now.happybagger said:I bet many of us with the 5.2 account at Santander, dropping on 20 May, also ended up getting the 5.12% cahoot one, certainly for me that's my next best at the moment. What confused me is you apply for Cahoot Simple Saver (current issue 3 is 4.10%/4.02% it seems)but online (when you login) it shows up as Cahoot Savings Account, in emails it shows as Cahoot Instant Access.Frogletina said:

Sunny Day Saver is the only consistent branding.
Also further confusion in regards to Cahoot: they mention you need two letters & 3 parts to be able to login, that wasn't true for me.
I didn't have to put both sets off numbers revealed by scratch off panels to complete registration/online access.
They also mention telephone banking and needing a 16 digit card number but Cahoot don't do current accounts anymore do they?.
Seems Cahoot might need to update, otherwise change things with branding etc.0 -
Chase email 5.1% with bonus rate until November many of us will already hold account could be straightforward for when santander drops1

I didn't get the offer, had over £500 in the CHASE account. I use it a lot, money in and out. Every time its gets to £1000 I move it on. It would stay there had they offered me the 5.1%. Never mind.0
