Do you think any of these companies will take on extra staff to alleviate the "high number of calls " problem?

What annoys me is when they make it so you HAVE to ring them, then complain because they are getting too many calls.2 -

I phoned a financial services company yesterday who were "experiencing higher than normal call volumes with a wait time of over 30 minutes" - then two rings and through to someone instantly...0 -
“Higher than normal” and “our options have recently changed” are messages some have been playing for years.
