It's a building society, not your best friend forever. Just use them like they use you.dealyboy said:I have not received the e-mail, have thousands in their accounts and have been an account holder since 1988.
They don't care about me, but then they never have.
I haven't received the email, but I did get a message flash up one time when I logged into their online banking, saying that I had been entered.0 -
No Santander email here yet. Bet Ant and Dec got paid more than 100k each for those dreadful adverts

This is insane. It’s a prize draw that none of us are going to win. And for a moment I was drawn into the insanity.

Exactly, not that I was drawn into the insanity, or any hope of winning. Like everyone else who received the email, it wasn't worth mentioning in my mind. Only did so because someone brought the subject up. Am hoping that I don't have to drain my EA account, not for the sake of winning the draw, but because it means something unexpected has come up to pay out, so fingers crossed on that one. 0 -
It's alright for you to say, you've received the e-mail ...@RG2015 said:This is insane. It’s a prize draw that none of us are going to win. And for a moment I was drawn into the insanity.

I have also received the email to say I have already been entered into the draw.ToastLady said:
Yes it is. I've only got the EA limited addition iss 3 with them. Received an email from Santander on 23rd Oct stating that I had been entered into the draw.allegro120 said:
"Existing customers with instant access and current accounts that are no longer on sale to new customers, such as the 123 current account, are eligible provided they have £100 in their account(s) on the 30th November 2023" - I wonder if Easy Access saver limited edition (iss 3) is eligible? Looks like it should be, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know?janusdesign said:flaneurs_lobster said:
What's changed?SeriousHoax said:Santander have update there App.nothing visually to me on Android - so probably just bug fixes.one new thing I saw was that Santander are having a £100,000 draw in December 2023 - entry is automatic if you have £100+ in your current/instant access savings account by the end of November 2023.
I have a current account which never has more than £100 at the close of any day and an empty EA savings account. It certainly appears that I would not meet their stated criteria.

You’re right. I feel like I have won already.dealyboy said:

Reality check : Santander 14 million active UK Customers, those with £100 ? 5 million ???
Not very good odds for 1 prize

Reminder: the first table is simply soulsaver's top 10 at the time of writing, True EA accounts are those that require no minimum balances and allow unlimited withdrawals, and True Instant EA accounts are those True EA accounts which advertise instant deposits and withdrawals 24/7.Chip, Ford Money, Hampshire Trust Bank, Tandem Bank, Cynergy Bank and Post Office Money have been on every True EA table. If you assume they will continue to care about their relative position, and you need "true easy access", these are the accounts you might want to keep a quid in.Of these, Chip and Tandem offer instant access. Recently, Chip has been on the decline and Cahoot has been ascendant. Others on the instant access table might not offer close to top rates but offer other advantages, such as the functionality of saving in a current account (Kroo Bank), savings being linked to a current account (Chase Bank, Monzo) or the ability to open multiple accounts for the same rate (Tesco Bank, Zopa). Of course, instant access itself is an advantage. This is probably the last time I post this. There doesn't seem to be much change on the horizon of the EA market. I hope others have found this exercise somewhat interesting, and see that there can be different definitions of what makes a "top easy access savings account".If you wish to catch my attention please remember to tag me (@ircE) so I get a notification.36 -
I've never heard of range, but they seem to offer terrible rates, so best avoided.
