Beehive Easy Access now showing as 5.20% in the app.

    @soulsaver

NB Minimum £1000 to open this. Just got my £1 test payment blocked which I will get back in 2 working days, but at least I know the payee is correct.
    Retired 1st July 2021.
    This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."
  • I guess people get bored, there so little movement at the moment. 5.2% seems to have been available for ages. I have money in Tandem at 5%, been waiting for someone to go to 5.25%. Not sure if they ever will?
    Its like magic isn't it?

Certainly is Zopa _Trooper.  And if things come in threes as people say they do, then we'll be at 5.35% in a matter of days.        [ now that IS wishful thinking ] :)

Thanks for that. Issue 3 now open and the balance from Issue 2 has been transferred into it.

For anyone else also doing this - despite it saying this could take up to 2-3 days during the account opening process, in reality it actually only took 5-10 minutes.

    Cahoot closure rigmarole:
As I have the Santander 5.2% then the Cahoot 4.9% became redundant so I decided to close it.
Short of phoning them, it seems the only way to close is via secure message which I did on Friday 13/10.
They replied on 17/10 saying I needed to empty the a/c before they could close it (I had left in £1 which is often compulsory for savings a/cs). I did this and replied that day to notify them.
On 19/10 they messaged asking for my account sort code, a/c number and full address. It was unclear whether the a/c details they wanted were for their savings a/c or the Bank of Scotland a/c the proceeds were to be sent to (the BOS a/c was the only payee set up and which I had instructed them to use in my initial instruction). I sent all details back the same day.
On 23/10 they messaged to let me know the a/c was closed and proceeds sent to my BOS a/c but funds weren't received.
Funds still not received this morning (24/10) so messaged them again to ask when I'd get payment. Funds received this afternoon, 11 days after closure requested.

    Other annoyances...
When signing in, the Remember User id does not work in my Firefox browser.
To sign in, a OTP code is sent every single time. (Even when I've just signed out).
There's no reply button when reading a message in your inbox. In fact the new secure message option is not even available on this page - you have to go back to the help page to find the option.

Is there a Coventry BS iOS app at all?

Coventry BS have no Android nor iOS apps.

    Got this via email yesterday:

"We’re excited to say that very soon we’ll be launching the Coventry Building Society App for savers.

Towards the end of October, we’ll be giving the first 1000 panel members who sign up, exclusive early access to the new App. This will allow you to use the App before it is available to everybody else. All we ask in return is that you tell us what you think.

You’ll be able to register for the App, log in, view your accounts/transactions, carry out internal transfers between your Coventry accounts and make payments to your external named account."

    IOS and Android coming.

This came in by email today.

One calendar week minimum. Withdrawals are only processed on working days, so if you deposited on a Saturday, you can’t get your money until the Monday the week after the next. You do get interest from day of deposit though

Paragon Double Access Issue 3 now 5.25% (£1k min).
Thanks! I’ve applied to open this and transfer savings from Issue 2. I’ve left 1k in issue 2 as that was the minimum opening deposit and I opted for annual interest. I DO NOT want the interest to pay until the next tax year. I assume that I need to maintain the 1k minimum on Issue 2 to avoid the account being closed and the interest paying out?

The money disappeared from my Issue 2 account more or less immediately but I can’t see the new account yet.
