Chip has never been in the list. It's above the list as DYOR, a holdover from when they didn't technically pay interest and looked at lot more dodgy.  It has probably earned a place by now but it's not like anyone is unaware of them anyway.
I'm talking about the one on the main MSE site rather than on this forum:
    https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-accounts-best-interest

They were on that list last week, above Kroo.
I find that the accounts making the MSE lists can be rather random. I use Al Rayan quite a bit and often their accounts aren't shown at all, even when they have a competitive rate (yes, I know they are shown at the bottom of the tables if they are shown).
I always find it interesting how they go about their top lists - the current list, none of the standard EA accounts are paying to be there, they are just the best available rates - Chip were paying ( I think they are still top on MSM so assume they are still paying) Kroo are paying. but one thing, some one at MSE has done the maths and determined that Kroo offer good value with the Amazon deal. Personally - would prefer to only see best EA accounts, I dont need another CA. But that is just me.

Sent money to Newcastle BS during the weekend. It's about end of business hours of Monday and nothing arrived yet. Should I be worried?
I sent them an online message and they replied 10 days later.

Yes, I had forgotten that the MSE 'best buy' tables aren't completely independent. They give an idea of some of the best rates available, but as always it pays to shop around!

Does anyone know how often Cynergy's projected interest updates? I assumed it would be daily as it accrues daily but it's been the same for several days now. Is it weekly or monthly?

I think you are completely overthinking it. Cynergy literally tells you your current accrued interest just like Chip does, but it doesn't update daily like Chip does. I just want to know how often it updates the figure shown.

Got the same email. They also rename quite a few accounts, e.g. esaver to Easy Access Saver, effective from17th July. Really liked the account while rates were competitive but £0.00 balance since months. Would be nice if they would move to 4.3%

    From Investors Chronicle today:
Markets are pricing in 70 per cent chance the Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee votes for another 0.5 percentage point hike in August after UK wage growth remained at a record high 7.3 per cent in the three months to May. Wages are up, sterling is up, these rate hike expectations are even more concrete.
    Next meeting 3 August.
